Just fyi, the 6 amp DeWalt battery puts even more power available to that impact. I was pleasantly surprised when popping lugnuts on& off. The 8 amp does also over 4 amp but not over the 6 amp. They also last way longer. Thank you for your content

Recently installed a chain kit on my 1200c and had a lot of scraping on the exhaust bracket and rear foot pegs, did you have any issues?

I had absolutely no issues at all. Not even close. But like I said, in this video, you will need to get an additional piece that stops the chain from contacting your rear foot pegs if you have them on the bike. I do not have them on this bike, so that is why you did not see me install them, but I did mention them. And I guess the scraping on the exhaust bracket would be dependent on which bracket and which exhaust you have, but on my specific set up, it does not even come close to having any issues.

I have a hammer performance 1275 120hp kit on the sportster. Thinking of swapping the belt out for more power. How much did the conversion cost you? Tcbros have decent prices. Also is that instant torque noticeable with chain? Thanks and great video

I don’t remember the price off hand but the link for my exact kit is in the description. And yes on this chain kit I noticed an immediate change in felt torque. Very big difference

It’s not very aggressive. It’s only 2 teeth over the “stock” gearing which would have been 51 tooth rear sprocket. It’s around 3-400 rpm higher in any given rev range

No idea honestly. Not sure if they’re different between 1200 and 883 models either. Check some of the websites with chain kits. Most will tell you “stock” gear sizing

Stock sprocket size on the rear is 53 or 54 and 22 on the front

Negative's for you, you now have to lube the chain to stop it drying out, lube will go everywhere on the bike part's, remember to clean the chain if wet lube the chain, great video tho do love watching them here in the UK 🇬🇧

You might be new here….but I’m very pro chain. I’ve had a chain on my low rider S for a few years now. With modern day formulas chain maintenance is super easy. I like muc off to clean them and maxima spray wax. No sling at all and the muc off does a crazy good job. You do not have to clean it every time it gets wet. Maybe with crappy products that people think still exist from chain days of the 80’s. But nowadays chains are incredibly easy to maintain man. Thanks for watching!! 👊🏻

If you don't ride hard the belt is fine. If you DO ride hard the belt ISN'T fine. You may replace it once after breaking it, but after the second time you will rethink. Either replace with a chain or change your riding style. I chose chain. My friend snapped 3 or 4 belts on his wife's '03 1200 Custom bought new and before it was only a few years old. I changed to chain after the first snapped belt.

Any luck? I have a 2020 1200 Iron and seemingly without an act of god cannot get this damn front sprocket nut off. I've tried impact driver, 4 ft breaker bar, steel pipe extension, absolutely nothing will make it budge. I had to put it in 2nd gear, have someone sit on the backend, and put a steel pipe through the damn mag locking wheel in place and it just tries to lift the entire back end of the bike up. I think Harley f*$&ing welded this gdamn nut on. (and yes I know it is reverse thread, haha)

You gotta have some thing between the chain and the belt if you can. There’s enough give in the belt that it takes a little bit of that torque away. And as far as removing that nut, just get a better impact. A lot of the decent size impacts look like they would work fine but they are just not enough. Made that same mistake on my softail that I did this to a while ago. Had a pneumatic one that posted pretty good specs and it did not even come close to budging until I bought a $300 battery powered impact Tool only

First of all, obviously, I’m not using the belt so there’s no reason to keep it and I’m not concerned with making five dollars a profit by selling a used belt if anybody would even want to buy it. Second of all it’s not just one bolt. Have you ever seen a belt Replaced and how much work goes into it? It’s a gigantic pain in the butt. Shops hate doing it and there’s a reason it takes a while.
