Hi, may I ask, how can I connect a type C head cable directly to main power socket without using adapter? I mean keep the type C header, remove the USB header and connect directly to main power source.
Very helpful. Thanks for sharing. One question, can I add a new power point switch from an existing light switch wiring? is it as simply as adding new wire and connect same wiring from and existing light switch to the new power point switch?
@@connorparsons5404 thanks for the reply. That's what I assumed but wasn't sure. I didn't think the little USB transformer would need a 240 supply but now I think about it, it's basically just a little inbuilt wall wart isn't it?
It's not legal due to dangerous nature. Changing a light globe is fine but anything more is considered dangerous. Im not 100% on this but im sure if you google your energy authority regulator they could tell you.
@@allelectricalau You are correct! In Australia, you need to have a qualified electrician complete any electrical work domestically or commercially. As a DYI'er you also need to be extremely careful, not just undertaking electrical work but insurance companies will void any policy you may have with them in the event of a claim.
@@VW_Fan because a licensed electrician does the time to learn the relevant code and regulations to make it safe and will supply a certificate of electrical safety upon completion
@@T_Mack9 You're missing my point. If there is fire, how would the insurance company actually know a licenced electrician did the work or not. How could they prove it? Any certificates are probably lost in the fire. I doubt many houses have them or all electrical work anyway.
