How To Install Baseboard Around A Toilet Supply Line 

You have a knack for not just trim but mitered/beveled joints and as someone delving into woodworking and craftsmanship with a love for complex joints, etc. I can appreciate that what you did there behind the toilet and meeting up to the door and cabinet are complex puzzles yet you made it look easy! Love that you glued the joints together to make sure they fit snug without gaps. I’m currently ripping out horrible 5” mdf trim my contractor put as trim in my bathroom, he didn’t paint or seal the edges whatsoever that hit the edge of the shower surround so as you can imagine of course water has wicked up and spread about 2’ across the trim! Not happy, so I’m actually putting in pvc. As much as I love wood I don’t want to waste it on something that’ll rot and since I’m redoing his failure I thought I’d add premium stuff and make it appear like the rest of the trim in the house. My house was built in either the late 60’s or early 70’s and the trim is shorter stuff but was installed in a unique way with a slanted bevel. I found almost exact thickness 9/16” x 2 1/4” which matches the current trim only I need to rip a slanted edge and round over top and bottom to match what’s here, I look forward to the challenge of corners and possibly addressing the toilet plumbing like you have. This trim I want to replicate is originally stained with ugly dark stain throughout the house but I’m currently loving painted trim (unless hardwood which isn’t my case) that’s a few shades darker than the white walls with either an off white or a creamy neutral like a beigey grey or greige. I’ve seen some with pops of color too and looks nice. Anyways, just hoping I have the right paint for the PVC trim and that my contractors guys textured lower to the floor since my trim is shorter than what they installed

If you cut the bottom of the base to fit under the cabinet on the right, leaving the profile at the top with a shorter base, what happens when you get to the other side and your base is short? Do you have to step it back up somehow? Seems like a lot of work for not a very good look.

I admire the craftsmanship but loath the design. Any solution that takes away from the trim instead of adds to it is not ideal.
