THank you for this video!! My clutch lever broke in the same spot also. There is this weird "notch" in that area and it weakens the lever. My hubby is going to change my levers for me. Thanks again!!! #HotMamaBusa
You're very welcome! I'm happy to hear you liked the video. I believe they have that notch purposely there for that exact reason, if it was to break, that would be the spot instead of further in and then the clutch lever won't be operable and could leave you stranded. With the new shorter lever it's harder for it to hit if it's dropped so that's a big plus. Thank you for your comment! 🙌🙌💪

My husband watched your video and he said it was great and very easy to understand. He and I both subscribed right away to your channel. That notch is there for a reason, so it breaks easily during a crash, or hitting it on something, it's a safety thing because if you bent it by hitting something you wouldn't be able to use it, so it breaks so at least you can get home or the shop
Candy red is the best color on a HAYABUSA. I just got a 2013 HAYABUSA Limited Edition(Nothing more than a different color scheme🤣) in yellow last month. The color is good for me too, but I can't be more happy if it were in red like yours.
@@MototalkUSA Of course, I'm so happy with it. I owned 5 bikes since 2019, 1 brand new and the others used. I sold 2 of them last year including the first bike bought brand new and a used one. The clutch operation of this newly bought used HAYABUSA is smoothest among all of the bikes I owned. Nothing to complain regarding mechanical operation and quality. I'm in Canada, here the price of new HAYABUSA before Gen 3 is 1/4 less than GSX-R1000. In other words, GSX-R1000 is 1/3 more expensive than HAYABUSA. But for used bikes with same production year, HAYABUSA is a few grands more expensive than GSX-R1000. As for new bikes, KAWASAKI ZX-14R is 2~3 grands more expensive than HAYABUSA, but for used ones, HAYABUSA is a few grands more expensive than ZX-14R.
@@jengtiger2882hello Canada ! Happy to hear so man. Hayabusa's hold their value pretty good! It's an iconic motorcycle. I too really like the hydraulic clutch and actually it was one of the selling points for me because I've also owned 2 GSX-R's and an R6 and those clutch cables where torture to commute with 😅 Now I'm king with the Busa! ☺️ Speaking of hydraulic clutches, I bought another bike last weekend that has a hydraulic clutch too 😉 I'll make a video of it soon, but no one knows about this bike yet.
@@MototalkUSA So lucky to know your new bike, haha. Currently I own HONDA CBX1100XX BLACKBIRD 1999, SUZUKI GSX-R1000 2007 and HAYABUSA. I plan to put at least one bike on selling list, either CBX1100XX or GSX-R1000 when the riding season is coming. 3 bikes are too many for me, since I'm the only rider, so I have to let some of them go, and make some room in my garage too. Of course, I will keep HAYABUSA until I'm too old to straddle on it🤣

Hey! I don't remember what was the setting of the stock ones but the new one I have on 2 for the clutch and 3 for the brake. But you should set it where it's comfortable for you.
@@Hawkeye45b nope not at all, and I even raised the handlebars too and still they don't hit. If anything they have better clearance because they're shorter.

@@MototalkUSA okay nice! I bought some eBay shorty ones with the hayabusa engraving and they rub on the upper housing plastic. Had to put the stock ones back on.
Any kind of grease should do, it just needs a little something so it's not totally dry. The levers are specifically for the Hayabusa, I have the link to purchase from Amazon in the description of the video.
