🌟 Why Bleeding Air from Brakes is Crucial:
Safety First: Air in the brake lines can cause a spongy brake pedal, reducing braking efficiency and increasing stopping distance.
Optimal Performance: Properly bled brakes ensure consistent and reliable braking performance.
Prevent Damage: Removing air helps prevent corrosion and damage within the brake system.
🛠️ Three Methods to Bleed Brakes:
Gravity Bleeding: The simplest method, relying on gravity to pull the fluid through the system.
Manual Bleeding: Involves a helper pumping the brake pedal while you open and close the bleeder valve.
Vacuum Bleeding: Uses a vacuum pump to draw the brake fluid through the system, ideal for solo jobs.
💡 Tips & Tricks:
Use a clear tube to see air bubbles escaping.
Keep the brake fluid reservoir topped up to prevent air from re-entering the system.
Always start with the brake furthest from the master cylinder and work your way closer.
