This video explains the process for installing Aluminum Diamond Plate from OnlineDiamondplate.com in a commercial setting. The Diamond Plate is cut and then glued to the wall using FRP adhesive and finally trimmed out with MDF 1x4 White trim. What gauge is that plate you’re using?

Is the FRP adhesive suitable for outdoor use, say, on a camper? Also, could a track saw with metal cutting blade work for this? I wouldn’t see why not?

Or you could save a lot of time and use a name brand high quality double sided tape to a pre-primed or painted wall. Then when the trim is attached that also holds the diamond plate in place. Hasn't failed me yet.

Do you apply the tape to the whole panel? I haven’t installed anything yet but I plan to. I do not want it to sound hollow if touched. I think the glue would make it feel as solid as the drywall is. I don’t want to screw it in as it distorts the panels and looks bad. I think the glue gives the panel a nice look, I would love an easier solution but don’t want it to feel cheap.

@@dennispope8160 i use high quality double sided tape liberally. Holds the metal well. I rarely touch my walls and give them almost no foreplay so it's not a problem.
