You showed everything else except what the video was about, which is the actual install of the actuator behind the panel. So where is that piece of the video?
triniboyful It's two screws. You Just mount it where ever there is space. You might want to consider paying a pro to do this one so you have lifetime warranty on the workmanship.

It’s self explanatory on what your even asking for so in my opinion get a person with half a skull to do it for you and move on that way with a lot of things in life. @@AnthonyJ350 Relays are easy, true, if you work on your car electrics you gotta know some basics. But people learn faster and effective when they see an example. Basic theories are just not so effective. Or at least you could have shown the wiring diagram of the realys. :)
How much would it cost to swap 1 door from crank window and manual locks to power lock and power window? (I had the auto lock and motor etc) How much do u think just the labor would be? And where would I be able to take my truck to get it done
So I have a 2005 Ford escape and a couple of my actuators went out. Will I be able to use these? My car have a cable for the lock mechanism instead of a metal rod. But just curious if it's possible and if it is, how should I wire it? Thanks.
Pingas It is but it's very difficult and reliability is compromised. I stopped adapting to the cable systems about 8 years ago. I would get a new part from Ford if it were me.
The relay is used in case you dont have a keyless entry module, right? Seeing as there's kits that include the actuators, fobs, module, and hardware for $20... That would be the better route? It seems a lot of people would have more trouble figuring out how a relay works than they would just supplying power and ground to the module. I like the way you did it though... Much more pro.. And will definitely outlast the cheap chinese stuff.... For simplicity's sake and simple DIY, though.. Its the same?
The relay is used to control the actuators properly. Some kits it's built into the actuator but typically doesn't last as long or is harder to service. You need a keyless, security and or remote starter brain to control the relays.
Sir I locate the wire green color located on the.BCM which only locks all doors of Hyundai i20 car, but, could not locate the wire for unlocking all doors. Will connecting the wire which control the lock function coming out of the remote control unit to the above said green wire or pin of the BCM would activate the remote lock system? Please help to activate this remote system. Thanks.
AnthonyJ350 I just looked up 5 pin relays, local shop wanted $470+ for remote start and keyless entry. Too rich for my blood lol they also wanted $125 for door lock actuators per door. Im going to do it myself instead
@@Jursaw That's the going rate and a fair price. It will take a day to perform. What's your time worth to you and how clean do you want it to turn out? If you have never done this it will probably take you a whole weekend or 2. So that's 4 days. Pretty sure you make more than $500 in 4 days.
Title is misleading as is the response from the video poster saying go to a pro to get this done, what? Why did you make a video on it then? The hardest part about this job is getting the door panel off, after that it’s easy.
You want me to make a video about removing a door panel even though every removal procedure for each vehicle is different? How do you propose I do that? I explicitly show the wiring procedure with detailed notes. That's the hardest part because you can't see that operation.
