DUDE!!!!! Thanks for this. I read through the Echo instructions like 6 times and it just didn't make sense. I watched this video once and got the replacement head installed in @5 min.

Thanks for this helpful video. I'm having one problem, locking the spindle. The outer hole is obvious but there's nothing inside for a screwdriver or tool like yours to set into, so the head just keeps spinning when I try to tighten it (or, now, loosen it to remove). Any tips?

When trimming the edges, the lines were cut off no feeding. Can you help what is wrong?

You'll still have to bump feed it on the ground when the line gets short. Or you may have the inside bracket backwards which makes the string bump in instead of bump out.

Also, the 450 and 500 are better because you can use .105 line.

If you have a Ryobi trimmer and the brass one works, keep using it! Different makes and models use different fittings. I found with my trimmer I had to use the red one.

You just need to find which nut matches the thread and pitch on your trimmer since the speed feed head was designed by echo for echo trimmers and not every trimmer uses the same size as they do

Do you ever walk forward while edging or just reverse lol I see the landscapers walking forward but I always walk in reverse too. Maybe i bought the wrong trimmer,

I am more comfortable walking backwards edging. Once in awhile I walk forward while trimming, but not edging and only if the situation calls for it. Most lawn care professionals that flip edge with their trimmer walk backwards because of the rotation of their trimmer head.

@@TheBitsonEffectI have a way that works for me with a straight shaft line trimmer. Walking forwards on the grass with the concrete on my left the string spinning vertically they enter the cleared cut first and lift out the soil. This allows the cutter to self steer and good feed back to me walking up straight just carrying the lightly held machine.

There are a lot of bad ones out there, and a few good. In my opinion, the Echo Speed Feed is the all around best.

EDIT your video where you make a mistake on trying to push the different hex bolt thru so others are not following you by doing it the wrong way. Otherwise great job thanks
