I really don’t know how you only have 14k subscribers. I see people with 10 times more followers that aren’t half as good as you all around. Love your videos thanks for sharing
The problem is, there's way more people with very basic car knowledge that just want the overview and to see cool mods than there are genuine gearheads that like to know and learn how things actually work.
Thanks for showing the info for Bitterroot Diesel. I’m about a half hour away from them in Missoula and it’s good to know I have more resources now for injectors and rebuild kits whenever I would need them shipped fast.
Excellent content as always. This is my favourite truck channel because you actually show repairs and easy upgrades without just tossing new gear at the truck. Keep it up bud.
I don’t even own a Cummins but I love watching your videos for the fact that they’re very informative and interesting. I learn so much more than trying to watch other channels’ annoying vlog style videos. Keep up the good work my dude.
Man i just bought an 03 crew cab shortbed 3500 single rear wheel 6 speed and love this thing! However i wanna do something good for daily driving and maybe towing like a car trailer with a crawler on it, she has 325k but runs great just want to do some upgrades, has a fass on it but definitely stock around 3k rpms feels like it defuels wanting to do some springs, injectors, tuning and eventually a turbo, nothing crazy just looking for more pull past 3k rpm and reliably if i could haha
How am I just now finding this channel. I am subscribed to the best welding, fab, machinest, heavy equipment, big rig cat and Cummins diesel performance pages that there is and this is one of the best I think I have ran across, first video I found was "Cummins almost left me stranded" boy youd fit in down south fixing those damn injectors beside the road and draining the oil out of a truck your pulling. EARNED subscriber here ol pal and I will be binge watching you every evening from southwestern Virginia!
I strongly recommend changing the o-rings on the injectors and fuel connectors, cuz if the o-ring on the injector don't seal properly, it'll let the return fuel to mix with your oil.. and that's not good! Oh and adjust your overhead set when you remove rockers.
I put all rockers, push rods and bridges back in the same spot so no need to adjust lash since It wasn't changed. I had spare injector Orings too but mine where fine so no need to replace.
I love my 12v tune you made me 🥰 it’s on 90% of the time!! But I ordered injectors & cp3 so in couple weeks your going to have to work it over, again 😆 thanks Mat
Exergy 50hp n their sportsman pump. Checked fass psi and holds 15 at wot. Guessing the return rates are high n that’s why we see the rail drop as of now.
Really informative information on the Injectors. Noticed you torqued the fuel tubes to 44 ft lbs, where the manual says 37 ft lbs. I've got a 2003 that currently only runs when I cap the fuel rail for injector #1. They are new injectors and fuel tubes, so I was going to try to reseat the fuel tube, but I'm going to try re-torquing the fuel tube to 44 ft lbs first.
No need, didn't change anything that would effect lash. I do have video showing how tho. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NJOfZqozEwY.html
Hey another excellent tutorial video. Did you ever find those separate plastic pieces. I’m going to check out the injector website you spoke about. Going to check out your other videos.
Had an injector stick open and melt one of my cylinders in my 04 cummins.. Just had it rebuilt and love it, now I know to always keep an eye on injectors.. Experience mistake.
I could be wrong but does the ECU not get its fuel consumption info via a calculation of fuel pressure and pulse width based on how much it would flow with stock nozzles? might want to verify that with a hand calc lol.
greg a runs a big single with 100 over injectors and tuned really clean and hit 920hp on the dyno but its a 6.7 its nice to have a Diesel that makes good clean power
@@Cumminslife Defintely a down the road thought. lol Can't have the rig down for that long now. But would be ultimate. CR Cummins, 6 Speed, airbags Front and rear, and some sweet superior air ride seats. Would be the ultimate tow rig in my eyes then.
How are the injectors holding up ? I’ve heard mixed reviews with changing nozzles as opposed to a set of new performance injectors. I want to do this myself but worried about ruining perfectly fine stock injectors
Optimal Welding it's helps to free up a little horsepower doesn't it? My truck had electric fans on it when I bought it so I wasn't ever able to tell the difference of before and after the fans got put on
@@Jake-pk3xb the electric fans are still drawing the same amount of power from the engine through the alternator. The stock clutch fan is far superior to an aftermarket electric setup.
