How to install a PerTronix Electronic Ignition Upgrade in a Porsche 911. This electronic solution will replace the mechanical points system, so no more reliability concerns with corrosion, humidity, or wear. The instructions that came with it were pretty generic, so I put together this video to help other owners upgrade their ignition systems on midyear and earlier Porsche 911s. All 911s post 1978 should not need this upgrade as they should already have electronic ignition.
