I originally did this before I installed the dynojet on the bike but that was 4 years ago. Want to change the tunes because of an exhaust modification.
Lets say I have a flashed ECU and I do not want DJ to interfere with it. But I want a second tune on DJ with a map switch how do I go about having it essentially "do nothing" until I hit the switch to swap tunes to my nitrous tune ?
I'm assuming the USB cable provides power to the device. I did this once however it wasn't installed on the bike at that time. Now it is so I'll take the laptop to the device. The Commander v is on top of the bike's ECU under the seat.
Helpful video. I assume this is the same software for PC6? PC5 (like this video) is the only software I can find on the website. Also I think this is the only time in history I've heard mouse buttons manipulated with a closed fist :D
Hey 🤙🏽! I have the PC3 USB and wonder if I can load map without disconnecting it from the bike… Thinking of using s laptop and connect directly to it with bike shut of ofcourse
Hey there; love the PC V - got a great tune for it for my Triumph out of Europe. Going to be installing a camshaft soon which means my ride will need a new tune to get the most out of it. This looks pretty straight forward, but when you upload the map (looking at around the 4:18 mark on the video), the tech has the 'fuel' tab highlighted. The tune I've got coming will have ignition mapping as well as fueling - do I have to highlight or click anything in particular, or will the software automatically upload both the fueling and ignition map as soon as I hit 'send'? Do I have to highlight fueling, hit send, then highlight ignition, and hit send (as in hit 'send map' two separate times) or will 'send map' send both the fueling and ignition map simultaneously no matter which is highlighted in the software? Maybe an odd question!
does pcv come with the auto tune as standard you didnt talk about this? I have a 2001 cbr600f4i with a stubby sc engineering exhaust that's causing either fueling or back pressure issues when pulling away i lose power then over 2k kicks back in again. any suggestions cheers
bro i have a 03 f4i was running perfect before i put on the pcv then after install any input on the throttle makes the bike stall. the map upload doesnt seem to effect this at all.

Bit of an oddity happening. I download an 07 honda cb900f tune and it's a .p6m file. File type isn't in the drop down thus won't open it i guess? Filtered for full exhaust ticked the only "full exhaust" option available. P6m.. After that was a no go I went back to check tunes without filtering and there was another full exhaust tune. Downloaded and at least it was a pvm but now it won't let me "send map" to the unit (pre install). No options highlighted except open map and save map.

Not sure if i’ll get a reply this late. But i recently got a used bike that came with a PCV and im trying to reflash it with a different tune. it wont let me search and download the tunes for my bike. I made an account already
If I were to purchase a used PC5 off of Ebay that is used can I still get access to the there website so I can install different software and maps thank you
Yes, with a used Power Commander V (that matches your vehicle), you're able to download our software and maps. Please note that you will need a Windows computer to download Power Core software.
Thanks for clarifying how the software works. Now, can you tel me why there aren’t a lot of maps for a specific type of bike ? And where can we get more maps for let’s say a akrapovic full exhaust system and performance air filter ?
This seems really cool, unfortunately there aren't any tune maps on the website for a 2015 rmz 250. So if I got this, I guess I would have to tune it myself?
Great video .. Just following your steps it has the end confirmation..ie 2005 zx636 and info..BUT does not show and live feed data.. do you think I have installed it incorrectly.. the power commander was used and from the same model bike
This generally means the PCV may have a bad ground. Please check your ground wire to the Power Commander V. If you need more technical assistance, please reach out to us at pstech@dynojet.com.
I have an 07 GSXR 600 with a Dynojet PC. I use stock air filters. I put on an M4 Street Slayer slip-on. I've done nothing else besides that. I logged into your site. You have a profile for an 07 GSXR 600 M4 slip-on with stock or aftermarket filter. That should be good, correct? That should provide the best Fuel/Air ratio for my bike? I don't think I need a full, custom dyno.
Please select a configuration with similar aftermarket components. If you need to create a Custom Map you have two ways to do this. You can install the AutoTune accessory kit for the PCV, this will enable you to fine tune your bike while you ride or take your bike to a Certified Dyno Tuning Center. Please reach out to us if you have any further questions. powercommandertech@dynojet.com
@@DynojetResearch ...im just not that computer savvy and the powervision has gone up in price over 200$ which stinks...they used to be 500$ on jnp cycles now 700. Why there, I have a 2006 Suzuki LTR 450 an I bought it about 3 years ago an it had a PC3 it stopped working on me an my bike is running so weird. I want to upgrade to a PCV but I don’t know if that will mess it up or not. I don’t know what’s done to the engine. I have a 2014 Yamaha Raider s, I just installed a freedom performance shortcut rate is exhaust and a PCV Commander and K&N air filter. The only map that I see on Dino's s website is set up for a Vance and Hine Big Radius 2-2 exhaust which is similar to the freedom performance. Will that map work?

Does not work. The additional maps (tunes) from website download as .p6m file types. The PCV software is looking for a .pvm filetype so cannot identify the downloaded map. In the video the host downloads a pvm.file type. I have no idea what's going on. Not a good way to start with new software.

So after several tunes and fine tunes I’ve accepted my trims to tune towards my target afr’s- for a race weekend do you think I should turn my auto tune off so that it will not try and adjust while I’m racing. I’m looking for consistency and predictability. Sometimes I think my auto tune is working against me due to changing weather conditions over the course of several hours and the adjustments it’s making causing inconsistency. What are your thoughts
so i have gsxr 600 2006 , stock air filter, akrapović slip on exhaust, with stock downpipe but i deleted my catalytic converter, what map should i choose? is this the correct choice? (Akrapovic slip-on2 open exhaust (S-S6SO5-TT), Stock or aftermarket air filter) and do i have to remove those flaps on my exhaust? please help...
I installed the tune onto my powercommander for my 2015 triumph Daytona 675r, would it be beneficial if I went to a dynojet facility and got it dyno’d??
When installing an auto tuner with the pc5 don’t you need to take off the stock map sensor? And also remove the stock exhaust sensor. Just unplug? Leave plugged in? Put a resistor inline? I’m unsure
Our stock map is an improvement over the stock ECU. There are gains to be had with just a stock exhaust by using the Power Commander V and the correct map.
Hey Dynojet, I have a 2020 Kawasaki ninja 650 and i got a two brothers full system. and the latest PCV for my bike and for the year it says the only maps available are for the stock system. Since the exhuast fits 2017-2020 i looked at 2019 and there was a map and thats the one im using right now. is that the best way to go about it since there isnt a map for two brothers 2020?
I've just installed this on a 2003 vtx1800 I stall went great super easy I didn't see an option for stock exhaust missing baffles lol I also have a hypercharger should I just use the closest tune with a hypercharger installed?
i went to get a map downloaded and I can only get a map for a 2016 can am outlander 850 even though I have a 2020. Does anyone know if the 2016 tune will work for a 2020. or if I can get a 2020 map somewhere?

Hi I have a power commander 5 with a custom tune made for my 2011 triumph daytona 675, however I did a stupid thing by updating the firmware - PCV Firmware Version: 1.14.2 Last Update: 23/01/2017. After installing the bike is now running poorly and a strong smell of burnt fuel and a sound of engine knocking at low gears rolling off throttle. The idle seems messed up also, when blipping the throttle in neutral, there is a backfire..Any ideas ? Thanks in advance
Hey there, I just purchased a used 2017 Kawasaki Z650 that has a full titanium Akrapovic exhaust installed. The guy I bought it from purchased a power commander V for it but never installed it because he said it had no tune to download. I have looked and he seems to be right, there does not seem to be a tune for that particular exhaust. I have noticed some black smoke when reving it up in the morning so I am assuming that it is running a little rich due to the upgrades he has done to it. How would I go about getting or making a tune for my particular exhaust? If it is possible to make your own tune on this that is. Thanks for any help you may offer.
If there is not a map listed for your exact configuration, select a map with similar aftermarket components. If we do not have your exact exhaust in a pre-developed map. I have a 2018 Honda CBR650F. The carburetor trumpets are restricted on this model so if unrestricted, does the power commander have the option for this mod?
So… at the end of the day the Power Commander is just a tool to transfer pre-defined maps? It is not designed to allow the customers to customize their veicules as they want/need?
@@DynojetResearch it's all right thanks, did it on a computer ! Quick question ; since i plugged in the pcv in my 2020 honda grom, i don't have rpms ? Everything else worka besides that. Funny, I've done all this but I can't for the life of me get my MotoGuzzi 750ie running good at all. I've had long conversations with the engineers at Dynojet on it and tried several things but in the end after several weeks of trying, I just took it off and threw it back in the box. Looking into the new power vision 3 for my 13’ xmr 1000 as it’s just seems much easier to install but all I find are the power commander units. Also hear the vision 3 are better thanks.
Paul, we do not have a Power Vision 3 that is compatible with the 2013 XMR 1000. The PV3 is a newer product than the Power Commander, so the fitments are more for newer vehicles. The Power Commander will definitely give you increased performance, though. If you have questions about your specific setup, we're happy to answer them at powercommandertech@dynojet.com.

Dan, connecting to the software is the best way to do this. By looking at the software when the bike is running, you can see if the RPM and throttle position is displaying correctly. If so, you are good to go.
@@DynojetResearch Your website gives NO mention about the required OS to run the software, every Mac user has to download, extract it, just to find out Mac is not supported. So I need to install windows, or borrow a computer... What windows versions are supported? 7, 10, Vista, XP?
@@jacobwonder6735 Jacob, we're sorry about this experience and thank you for that feedback. We'll try to make it more evident that our software only runs on PC, not iOS. This software will work on Windows XP and up.

When did the newest software and firmware come out for the pcv, and secondary fuel module? Anything in last couple years? They use to have a date when they were released.
@@DynojetResearch just wondering if there are any substantial changes in firmware, software that has enabled features other previous versions don’t have. I bought all my modules, pcv, sfm, autotune and quickshifter all new from motomummy back in 2014-15. I could check the firmware version numbers just to see if they’re current. How come you don’t make base maps for the secondary fuel module? Awhile back I was told just to use the same map that’s in the pcv in the secondary module and it’ll tune to where it needs to be. I was then corrected a year or so later that it’s not ok to run the same off the shelf map in bother modules. I don’t have any issues though I just zeroed out the secondary module so it’ll run stock tune. I’m pretty handy with these. I set it all up on gear dependent maps with an engine hoist on the rear subframe 😊. That was years ago runs like a top though 2007 gsxr 750. I’d like a secondary map as well eventually was told one wasn’t needed 🤷♂️ I am aware that the same firmware versions have to be ran on both modules, it can’t be two different versions is what I’ve been told.
