Make sure the linkage in the trans is lined up like it was when you removed the VB or you can break off the linkage and you have to completely disassemble the trans to replace that linkage if you break it ❤️❤️
I wonder how many times this video has re-started @11:10? Holy shit though, the transition from this dude talking about transmissions to that ass was kinda startling.
Other than pulling it out and measuring, how can I tell whether or not I need the .420 or .453 ssv bore repair kit? My protect68 will be here tomorrow and I ordered the .453 repair kit, only to find out there are two options. I neeeeeeed heeeeelllppp! I don't want to have to pull it apart only to find out I have the wrong ssv kit. My truck is a 2015 with a gray solenoid pack.
As long as it’s the original valve body it will be the 0.453 SSV bore repair kit, however if the valve body has been remanufactured in any way you will have to measure it.
I bought my kit 1030373 from XDP for my 2010 a month ago it didn’t come with the 2 gaskets. Came with clutch feed seal, separator plate, Pan gasket, 2 check balls and a accumulator plate. Used EFI for tuning so far no problems. Curious why it didn’t come with the 2 additional gaskets.
Great question. The early model valve bodies have a white connector on the solenoid pack and utilize seven check balls because they use a separate passage way for the overdrive and multi-select within the solenoid pack. The later model valve bodies have a grey connector on the solenoid pack and utilize 5 check balls because they combine the overdrive and multi-select operation within the solenoid pack. BD Diesel was able to share one modified bonded separator plate on early and late model valve bodies. We accomplished this by adding a sixth check ball to the late model valve bodies with the grey connector that closes off the overdrive passage in the separator plate. We did this so that the solenoid body can still control overdrive through the multi-select passage as it would have done in the stock application. Not installing the sixth check ball would cause a loss of control to the overdrive clutch pack potentially causing damage.
Hello i have durango 2011 AWD . I have problems in trans shift clicking from D to N . All gears fine and drive . Helpe me to rebuild my trans . I can change problem parts. Which the part ? tell me please
@@BDDieselPerformance it dosent need to be performed unless one is installing your specific kit? im curious as to how does your kit controls line pressure and how it affects the overdrive clutch pack(allready prone to failure)
2015 truck calls for a grey solenoid pack. At about 6 min said install 6 balls not seven. I did the 68 protect kit on my 09 3500. Didn't work for me. Bought revmax valve body all good now.
PLEASE PLEASE HELP, how do you know if you missed the shift linkage and the d10 positions. mine goes PARK/REVERSE/REVERSE(neutral)/PARK(DRIVE)/PARK(2)/PARK(1) im losing my mind i cant figure it out
