Just got back from a test drive after the install and a quick learn, it’s everything you say it is. My truck never shifted this well! Pleasure doing business with you, the core is going in the box for its return trip to you. Thanks again!
Just ordered this HDVB, solenoid, filter adapter and cooler bypass upgrade. Thank you for all the time you have in on this. Keep doin' what you do, we appreciate ya!
Awesome video man, very instructional. I have my zero flex valve body sitting at the house for my 2019, going to be installing tomorrow. Have the upgraded pan and filter screw. I have a mm3 instead of ezlynk. Is there any difference in install/quicklearn for the 2019 vs 2018?
Im running a higher trans pressure tune in my 19 2500 (stock hp). I did this after adding 37's as i was told it would be better for the trans. Ive noticed it shifts a little harder (even after relearn). Was told this was normal as the clutches will slip a little less. I want to start building my 68 and was thinking the revmax valve body and pan would be a good place to start. Also moving to 4.30 gears. After install, should i still run the higher pressure trans tune or go back to normal?
Great video!! Really appreciate you folks. Say, what holds the solenoid pack to the back of the valve body? No screws? Please keep up the stellar work you guys and Thank you. Bless you all. Bill 😎👍
I have a 2013 2500 with 150k miles on it. All stock not even an exhaust. Truck shifts good still. Would adding this on now cause any issues being that its higher mileage?
I have a 2017 ram 2500. Adding this valve body, deep pan, filter, filter billet screw on nipple, and thermo bypass...question is, do I need a tune? And if not, how do I do the relearn?
@@thoroughbreddiesel 99% sue I’m gonna order one of these next week. My 15 ram 3500 with 160k miles still works great but has had that 3/4 or 4/5 flare feel since new. I’m gonna do this valve body to try and keep it going better a few years
My 2015 ram 3500 has 160k miles now and transmission still works as it did new with only the common issues they all seem to have. It’s been serviced 3 times by me running synthetic fluid. Is it good to change this with that mileage?
This is a great upgrade to those trans. Even though you haven’t had an issue, these valve bodies are very problematic and this corrects those common issues.
So I called today to order the revmax valve body and solenoid pack but I was wondering, can you recommend a budget scanner that can do the relearn on the transmission? Or tuner that can perform the relearn.
OBD Mx+ for your tool and Alpha OBD for android Or OBD JScan for iOS. I purchased a $29 license from OBD JScan that was linked to my Vin number for best results
Tough accent, but I’m generally tracking! I had a check light on that showed for shift solenoid D. Is that the solenoid in this video? I’m a newbie on transmissions. Why should I invest $1300+ on a replacement?
Need help. Installed a RevMax valve body and new solenoid. Shifting fork is on the cable arm. Turned on the ignition and the "P" is flashing, not in park. Torn it all down reinstalled everything again. Same issue. No clue what's going on, any ideas?
@@thoroughbreddiesel no sir. Finally got a hold of RevMax. They said it should start even though it's not showing in park. If it starts do the quick learn and it should go away.
I have a 2022 with 195k miles on will this upgrade affect anything being so high mileage? It shifts fine, if i were to do it would be just preventing upgrade. Any thoughts? Thanks!!!
Mileage wont be a deciding factor on it, however this corrects a design flaw in these transmissions. I think with your truck being such high mileage for its age, its probably had a lot of highway miles with a minimal number of shifts. We have seen highway mile trucks survive very well with the 68’s and nothing done to them. This VB would carry you even farther without flaw.
yes all 90% I would say towing highway miles. Would you still recommend getting a VB? Also adding a bigger pan like the revmax one for example and having to add more fluid at that point, wouldn’t the pressure inside the transmission cause to raise ? Or it dose not affect anything having more fluid flowing to components . Thanks for the reply !!!! Enjoying your guys videos
If I’m running a mini max with delete and I’m running the trans tune they offered. I should leave that pressure plug/bolt removed? Is that correct? Than you
@@thoroughbreddiesel can I just buy the HD valve body is I only use my truck for work .im not sure if I need the zero flex valve body if I’m not doing any high performance upgrades on my truck
I have a 2013 3500 6.7 with a 68rfe… 89,000 miles got the dreaded p0868 … look in fluid is low….. no issues up to this point with the trans…. I got do a complete fluid change and filter…. Get it hot run it up the road after filling the fluid and the fluid is like disappeared…. Is this a valve body problem typically or something worse. …. All my CVI are in normal ranges
I have got 2010 3500 with the 68rfe with 140K . The truck is recently tuned with EFI LIVE with the transmission tune also. I am getting ready to install a deep pan and was considering the this VB. I have read that with a transmission with this many miles.. the new VB can cause issues with clutch paks wearing faster and other issues with the higher line pressures...your thoughts?
It was simple enough for me I did it in my driveway.. I'd offer to help but I am in Texas.. just take your time and don't rush anything, and keep track of your hardware. Also remember everything is torqued in inch-pounds
I went to change my vb and the engine light turned on and it won’t let me get get into drive and I tried doing the quick learn it keeped saying something went wrong
Just got my valve body , solenoid Pack , filters , deep trans pan today. Great video What trans fluid is best Great video thanks for the help with the phone sale very helpful.
That’s what we did and it was great. We assumed we’d probably need to tune to feel a big difference but we were very impressed as it sits in stock form.
@@thoroughbreddiesel did you install the optional 5x5m hex screw to keep line pressure at 160psi I have the 301A revmax valve body and don’t know if I should install that hex screw if I am running pedal monster
