As a new jeep owner I appreciate these videos. And if your goal is for me to purchase your product over the dealership (which I was planning to do prior to watching this video), then mission accomplished. I’ll be buying and installing Quadratec. Great job!
@@Quadratec I just canceled the dealership order. Installing on my 2022 Rubicon 4XE. Even though you say it won't work, many other shave installed without issue.
Great vid, overview instruction, and was interesting. Some people will order theirs installed from factory or by dealership not knowing how easy it is to purchase and install themselves.
Hello. I just installed the hitch on my 2024 Sahara with plastic bumpers and it took me @ 15 minutes, simple. I read a comment that the bracket that you rest inside the bumper does not allow for the hitch to install and you may have to remove the bumper, Not True, Goes right in. I have not installed the wiring harness yet but expect it to be a lil bit more challenging. I am installing the wiring on the passenger side as that is the side where the battery is located and I read a comment that the wiring could use another 8 inches, we shall see. Ps: Someone posted the same Chinese hitch is available on EBay for $39 shipped. Just because it looks similar does not mean the metal and welds are the same and good luck with that Chinese wiring lol !
I bought this setup and the hitch itself was a snap BUT the wiring harness was a bit of a problem as the length of the harness was short. I made it work but 8 more inches would have been nice.
@@Voltomess I decided to just have the local trailer dealer install it. My local Jeep dealer send their installs to them anyway. $490 later and I’m all set.
@@thirtytwoforty good idea this is like a 10h annoying job. Have you seen those harnesses for 07-18 JK jeeps? they're basically plug and play and those for 18-22 JL are nightmare.
These instructions are incorrect for my Jeep which is a 2020 Rubicon Recon. (I have 2 bolts Not centered) and a backer plate on my steel bumper which you cannot removed unless you disassemble all of the extra pieces on the bumper. Does recon not get to tow? Pl
He does this without a bumper attached because the hitch won't go on with the bumper attached. @ 5:55 or so he says slide the bracket into the bumper but there is no room it barely moves. I think I have to remove the bumper to make this work
I just did this on a '23 Sahara, and was able to do it with the bumper still installed. It's snug, but it works. Once I finally found the part of the video that describes the install, what's illustrated here is the best description I've found anywhere.
I just installed on a '22 4door Sahara. There is barely any room, I had to get my dad to wedge a big ass screwdriver in between and push the bracket back so that i could slide the hitch in between. It worked without taking the bumper off, but it was annoying.
That's with the wiring too. 69.99 for just the hitch with hardware and that plastic plug. Good price. Great product. Mopar parts counter will ream your wallet for theirs from factory
