Great video! Very informative and concise, with good explanation of the process! And THANK YOU for even including the mistakes as it keeps things REAL, and prepares us for what COULD happen!!! I now don't feel "intimidated" in taking on this job!

Just watched your video as I cannot find anything for installing a similar kit on my LX2610 cab model. Basics are the same, details will vary I'm sure, but this sure got me going in the right direction. Thank you for taking the time to share your work and explaining your mistakes. Great no BS install video!

have you done your cab model remotes yet? I am here for the same reason, looking to add rears to my LX3310 cab model. a lot less clearance and room under there to work though so i'm curious if you've tried it yet. thanks
@mikes2020
@mikes2020 2 года назад
@@daveotterness7823 Yes I have. It's not too bad for the mechanically inclined. You MUST remove the seat, seat mount and right rear tire. If you lay the parts out on some paper towels as you unbox each kit, it will make it much easier to follow the process. Install does require notching the steel inner fender slightly to provide clearance for the valves. Install is basically identical to this video. In RU-vid, search for this - Kubota B3000 Installing Dual Rear Remotes by Claremont Classic Garage . It is nearly identical to the LX series. The biggest pain is installing the lever pins and tiny cotter pins that connect the levers to the valve. A long needle nose pliers is essential.

I added two sets of rear remotes on my MX 5400 this past weekend. Your video saved me a lot of time and mistakes. I hope you don't mind, but I mentioned your video on the Kubota MX Facebook page. Told everyone what a big help it was. THanks again.

I have a MX5400 Dealer quoted me for three remotes about 1800.00 just the parts. I was planning on doing the labor.
@rednecktech82
@rednecktech82 3 года назад
That's about right. The first valve is the most expensive because it includes the primary parts...each valve after that is less. I was told about $750 for the first valve and $500 for each additional. When it was all said and done my 2 remote setup ran me $1400 out the door.
@rednecktech82
@rednecktech82 3 года назад
Definitely do yourself though, it really is easy. The front 3rd function I made a video of would have cost $400 for the dealer to install...I didn't get a price for this though.

@@rednecktech82 Thank you for making this. I watched it multiple times before installing the two rear remotes on my MX5200. You are correct the directions are mainly pictures, no real 'parts list', so naturally there's left over bolts, o-rings and some other rubber bushings maybe? I don't know what they're for and can't find them in the instructions. Needless to say after putting it all together it leaks from the triangle block, the tube and possibly some other hard to reach places. Ugggg! I put grease on all the o-rings, seated them securely before assembly. I'm afraid they may have dislodged while I held it with one hand and started the bolts with the other. I really don't know. Is there any hints or tips you can share with a struggling old man, please?
@rednecktech82
@rednecktech82 2 года назад
@@bradyglass69 there should be o-rings between the engine and triangle block and then between each remote block...also one at each end of the tube that gets plugged into the engine and triangle block. Mine was good after install then leaked slightly later so i had to retorque the bolts on the triangle block.
@bradyglass69
@bradyglass69 2 года назад
@@rednecktech82 Looks like I'm taking it back apart today and making sure everything is in the right place. Then putting it all back together. So I don't have to worry about any of the left over bushings, rings and so forth?

Man this is the best video I’ve seen hands down! Nice work! Currently I have a 2013 MX5100. Just from watching your vid I’ve sourced some parts, maybe you can correct me if I’m mistaking. I am trying to do the same exact set up in your vid. X1 MX8451 base remote X1 L8303 rear remote double acting valve X1 83049 hydraulic diverter kit So I think that’s everything I’d need minus some longer bolts? Looks to be about 1600 bucks ?

I’ve been shopping around for the dual remote that your describing and the dealership wants to sell me a kit that is plumbed in off the loader bucket. I’m assuming so as to go through the relief. I also have a third function up front as well as a backhoe to the back. Would any of these two additions complicate the installation as you are instructing at the side of the block. Plus can you tell me where the relief system is within the kit your installing and lastly, can you provide part number for the kit your installing?

Hey, looks like there are two female Pioneer couplers on each of your sets. Is that the standard configuration or did you specify what you want/need when you ordered? I'm relatively new to the tractor world (recently got an MX5400) and it just seems like a set should consist of one male and one female coupler but, after looking around it looks like that may not be the case. So, is there a "standard" configuration for a hydraulic set or does it just depend or... ? Thanks.
@rednecktech82
@rednecktech82 3 года назад
No that is the standard setup. When you buy your implements they will have 2 male connectors.

How many of each part number did you order? I have an order placed for 1 mx8451 base remote, 1 mx8452 valve, and 2 L8303 control valves. Is that correct? My kubota dealer said I cannot get parts till next year but I found a company that makes them and can get them in about a week.
@rednecktech82
@rednecktech82 3 года назад
If I'm not mistaken you ordered an extra L8303 (valve)...the BASE (MX8451) comes with everything for the 1 set of rear remotes...then each additional rear remote (MX8452) is purchases separately from each additional valve (L8303)
@andybowman9697
@andybowman9697 2 года назад
Silly question maybe, but do you have to remove the snap ring so you can pull out the coupler each time you want to connect / disconnect anything from these rear svc?
@rednecktech82
@rednecktech82 2 года назад
No snap ring removal. Push in to connect them...they will snap in place, then to release/remove them simply give a firm pull and they will come back out.
@armypilot1

Going to do the same thing on my MX5200 but I think I should have the L8304 instead of the L8303 so my top link can float when I am bush hogging on hills. Thoughts?

Could you please clarify: if I order the MX8451 Base Remote, I will get everything that I need to connect a Hydraulic top link kit into? Including valve, lever, hoses, quick connect, etc.
@rednecktech82
@rednecktech82 2 года назад
No...You need the base remote kit, which is the base box if you want to call it that. That bolts onto the tractor and comes with the lever(s) and things and then you would also need a valve kit for one set of remotes for your top link, two valve kits if you want a second set of rear remotes.
