Hvala. Koliko sam ja video da. Na golfu 7 mogao je i analogni video ulaz. Na golfu 8 koliko sam ja video nema mogucnost za analogni video ulaz (iskljucen je pin u softwareu). Drugim recima mora high gateway zbog digitalnog signala.
@jansvacina4650 No, coding i used only enables the camera to be seen. I didn't program self park to use the camera, as that would require calibration of self park system. I don't have the required equipment to do that. And dealers (in my country) would not do it for me even when i offered to pay.
Pozdrav! Hvala za video! :) Trebao bih informaciju gdje ide u originalu u Fuseboxu zica napajanja? Pretpostavljam da je za variant ista shema osim straznja kamera koja je u uz rucicu otvaranja bunkera iznad reg. plocice. Zahvaljujem! :)
Thanks a lot.... I'm struggling with activating the camera feature on an Octavia 2023 - which is the exact same as the Golf 8. I'm a bit lost with the SFD activation, did you have to do anything about it? Contacting a workshop and paying is enough to have the codes? I'll have access to VCDS so I will check if I can do these but any help would be appreciated.
I used obd11 since it has built in SFD deactivation/bypass. I read somewhere that there is a way to baypass SFD with VCDS. But since i don't have it I don't know. I'm so sorry 😔
@@alexadabic Thanks a lot Aleks :) I've ordered an OBDEleven with Pro Pack so I'm impatiently waiting for it. I don't know how well I would be welcome at a workshop for such activity so I went OBD Eleven first and I'll see... I did my first OBD tools with ELM323 around 2002, then my own with just 3 optocouplers back at the vanilla VAG-COM times so I'm having hard times paying VAG for it... lol ... I rather pay other companies developing their tools :)
@@alexadabic Hello, small update from my side.... I received the OBDEleven PRO Pack and coded as you indicated and everything is working fine! Thank you so much, you're the BEST. The camera resolution is not astonishing but it's decent (...I bought it from an expensive well known German company who does retrofits)
Thanks for this video, will this be the same process for UK cars? Can you list the coding you did in the comments please easier to follow. Thankyou so much
I added coding list to description. As far as i can dig up "yes". You just have to go on opposite side (right). Gateway should be under steering wheel. I still recommend you route wires via grommet where connector is on trunk door (there is more room inside that grommet)
Yeah quality is good. In standard mode cameras edges are a bit blurry but when you switch to wide angle picture is crystal clear. Yes you have to check! You can watch first video i made about RVC (link in description)
Hey great video! My camera is an OEM one but it looks like the camera in the screen is on the right when it should be on the left because my car is a right hand drive vehicle. Does anyone know how to align the camera so it fits inside the right hand vehicle layout for the UI?
The only thing i would check is side of driving on road in mentioned modules. Apart from that i don't think there is anything you can do. Modules should automatically align everything.
Hello, is it necessary to calibrate the camera as part of the installation? I mean how the orange guiding lines react to the steering wheel, or any distance?
There is no need for calibration. Exept if you want self park function to use it. But as to my knowledge you need more than obd11 for that. Lines move with front tires. They are using front steering sensors. As far as i know.
Hello Aleksa, you're video was perfect for me to fit my rear camera I done all that you did, but I have a small issue, when the camera is activated the picture doesn't fill the full screen! And Also the parking sensors covers some of the image as well. But when I swiped the parking sensors away the camera image now shows in full screen! Weird. Do you have any ideas how to fix Thanks John
Just looked at your instal video and your parking sensors are on the left side of your screen but mines is in the right side and that's the part of the screen that's blacked out! Do you think because my car is right hand drive that's the problem?
If what you see is the same as the picture in 39:25 than thats normal. If sensor "data" or picture of the car with forward and backward sensors (that has grey background on mine) is on top of camera image, then you probably have an older model of gateway. Same as on golf 7.5. That's normal too, and i think there isn't anything you can do.
@@alexadabic yes my car is right hand drive, so my parking sensors cover the video image on the right side of scree but leaves a space on the left side of the screen, I will have a look on obdeleven to see if possible to change left to right
@jonl6280 Aha, i think i got it now. Just make sure not to switch driving sides. That would cause any number of errors regarding driving aids. Also, i would recommend coding the car just like i did and leaving it for the night. Golf 8 gateways have auto troubleshoot and auto diagnostic built-in. So leaving it for the night gives a car time to sort itself out. Ofc if something is coded wrong car will not correct that. But leaving it will give you an idea at least.
I dont remember if i got a new one. I just reused the original since it is the same size anyway. And ofc vw factory original should always be better quality
Treba obratiti paznju samo za verziju kontrolera. To je mozda najbolje videti po forumima. Koliko ja znam golf 8 je izlazio iz fabrike sa 3 verzije glavnog kompljutera
As I've tested in the past with multiple cameras from aliexpress and different golfs 8, only res that is working is 1392x656. The default picture is stretched because the optics is made for a larger pov angle, and the default is a narrow pov. When you go to the camera, there are three buttons at the bottom of the screen. One of which is default, and the other one is for larger pov. When you go to the larger pov, the picture should look a lot sharper.
Très bien le tuto. Merci. Par contre j'ai toujours un défaut de caméra. Le 6c me demande de faire une mis à jour. Je ne sais pas comment faire, si quelqu'un a une idée ? Merci encore Very good tutorial. THANKS. On the other hand, I still have a camera fault. The 6c asks me to do an update. I don't know how to do this, does anyone have any ideas? thanks again

@@alexadabic hi , can I ask if you know the difference between the rear cameras? As I've seen some with different letters after the part number ! Like the link you sent is C and I've seen some with D and F. Thanks john
Hi thanks for the link I have ordered one , may I ask what the live cable gets connected to in fuse box? Is it a switched live feed? Or constant live? Thanks again
