And that issue leads to another, leads to another, until I've realized I might as well redo most of the staircase. I have NEVER found a Perfectly Level and Plumb and Square Stair. And I've been doing our craft for more then 30 years full ... Can You Please Show the You Tube audience the Master Stair Joiner's use of the Painters Stir Stick method of Scratching in the Rise and Run .. PLEASE! My reason is cause Most Staircase work around here is Refurbishing existing with Now Handrails, Skirting and sometimes that 3/8" Tread over lays. If You'd like I can send a few links to some Others or a Day with Joe D at my various job sites, where I convert Ugly to ShineOla ... Truly do like Your Tips an Tricks BUT !!! Again in 30 years of New and Old ? They're Never Square, Level and Plumb. Thanks

I ran into the situation where my stairs are all different. In fact, they are different on the left side from the right side. (Lazy carpenters!)
