Unfortunately not, I looked very hard for tnte Windows XP SP2 AHCI Driver for my Toshiba Portege R830 (PT321V-0HY068AR) and i found one on the official website that was made for a laptop very similar to mine, but I still get 0x7B blue screen of death 😢
i am watching this video on i7-920 cpu computer with 2gb ram and windows xp sp3 i bought this computer in august 2009 it still works, so no point in buying new one
@Alex Jones i am using Firefox 3.6.15 it loads in 10 seconds windows updates were turned off years ago theres no filler garbage running in the background
nVIDIA lastest support for GTX960 Driver, Infact that if you need to play with Win XP. Let's try to use a notepad to add GTX970-1080Ti,GPU list, later.
Nop, did not worked and there is no drivers for that card that support windows xp, the last nvidia gpu with working "oficial" drivers is the gtx 960, but you can still use a 970, 980, 980 ti or a Titan in windows xp cause it uses the same driver as the 960, you just hace to tweak the drivers to make it work in windows xp.
Have you tested more old era games on this windows xp machine? Are there any problems, crashes or instability when you use win xp with this modern hardware?
Another solution is to install Windows 8.1 and use a supported WiFi controller and then install 8to7, which is a program that changes the start menu to the Win 7 start menu.
I have a 2011 Laptop that originally came with Win7, however, when I try to install XP SP3 Corp, I get the blue-screen-of-death (error 0x00000007B) which appears to have to do with storage device-driver. The laptop uses a SATA drive, but I also tried installing XP onto an SD-card that's connected. I've even tried installing onto a USB thumb drive, and while it installed correctly, it wouldn't boot from the USB.. presumably for the same reason.. XP's kernel lacks USB/SATA support and must be loaded during boot-up? Now that the XP source code is available, would love to see a modified version that supports USB/SATA natively. Maybe ReactOS. Until then, any suggestions on how to make a XP install onto a SATA drive?
Had same problem on a dell. Before the blue screen I pressed f7 to disable acpi and it went through. Im in the official xp install but have no keyboard function.
just add ahci drivers (usb 2 works) 0x00000007b is error that is either sata, usb or both. i would eliminate sata first given its a 2011 laptop, so to do that open device manager on windows 7, right click on the ahci thing, then go to hardware ids and then integrate the fernando ahci drivers via ntlite and then click on the chipset name. there you go for sata for usb try using an optical drive to load the installer
