Geofatboy discovers a new and easy way to keep your shaving lather warm throughout your entire shave! Compliments of viewer Sheldon. Geo demonstrates the method using a Mr Coffee Mug Warmer which easily keeps the lather at a toasty 120-130 degrees. This is also Everyday shave #33 where he performs a shave with the Parker 45R Art Deco Three Piece Safety Razor. This razor is made in India and is loaded with a new Dovo made in Germany DE Blade which is darn near equally as sharp as a Feather double edge razor blade. Proraso Shaving Cream from Italy is lathered up with the Simpsons Trafalgar T3 synthetic shaving brush which is made in The Isle of Man. Lather is generated easily in the Shave Nation ceramic lather bowl and kept toasty on the warmer through all 3 passes and beyond. The Shave Nation Wide Stick Alum Block, and Proraso Menthol and eucalyptus aftershave balm is the finishing touch to this shave. Follow along and see how progressive beard reduction is performed to remove 2-3 days worth of beardage easily. Click on "Show More" (below) to purchase this razor and other items used in this video or find them at ShaveNation.com And-let us know what razor you’d like to see in an upcoming episode of Geofatboy’s Everyday Shave!

Got a warmer and use it with my Shave Nation bowl. A winner and IMHO, much easier and better than a scuttle. One step that I changed is that I heat water in my tea kettle and pour the hot water in my bowl. It’s fast, hot, and uses less water. I then pour the hot water from the bowl in the sink which I then use to wet down my face (it’s hot, but not scalding, by then. Lol).

My now-retired Italian barber used a cup warmer for years. Mind you, he got a rich lather in a large coffee mug at the beginning of the day then covered it while keeping the warmer on. He used a shavette to trip the neck and sideburns, and rarely got a shaving request towards the end of his career.

Hi Geo, Another entertaining and informative video makes history. I am enjoying the fresh format and creative content.I have an idea for the theme of yet another (over 500 made to date) original video you could do. It's a product review type of format based on recent orders placed by customers like myself. I realize that this video was out out 2 months ago (in 2022), but if you're interested please reply to my comment. Thanks for everything! PS Shall we started calling you Geo Tesla (instead of Fatboy) now? It's 5:00 o'clock somewhere!

Nice warm lather, nothing beats it during cold weather for sure Geo🪒🪒 I tried an electric candle warmer but it didn't get warm enough, this item looks way better. A scuttle is what I use now but water loses heat pretty quickly, so adding hot water is a must. Great shave and results with the Parker 45 razor, they make so many razors that an aggression scale should be available from them instead of having you do it for them...subjective I know. Thanks for the video, well done. Stay warm.

what i do for a hot shave, i take a small round pyrex bowl and fill almost to the top with water, then i micorwave the bowl of water for 1 min . then i take barbazol and spray it around the top of the bowl and let it sit for about 2 min. then apply to my face and it is warm/hot and feels great.. the bowl is like enough for a cup, not a big bowl like for ceral. been doing it for some time now....
@amigo4991
@amigo4991 Год назад
Geo, nice video and beautiful razor. I often warm the bowl by placing it in the sink (with brush in the bowl) and filling the sink with hot water. The ceraminc bowl retains heat throughout the shave in that way. Have you ever tried Nivea Sensitive Shave Gel? I recently did and was pleasantly surprised.

I shaved my face with cold water because my electric water heater kept giving me cold water in the faucet and I got less irritation than hot water. I did put conditioner on my face in the shower when I was showering my long hair to detangle it so that might have helped but it's something to try with really sensitive skin.

Juat curios what you think Geo, i have to shave everyday and i wear a uniform. My neck is super sensitive to the poing where after the second day i start to get snagged by all razors. I have to use lotion twice a day just tolerate a shave. What would you recommend razor, blade and cream/soap wise?

back in the 60's (yes I am old) I remember that every barber shop had a machine that would allow the barber to press a button and get hot shaving soap released into his palm. Since going bald I don't go to barbers anymore. In the 80s and 90's while In still had enough hair to style I went to a hairstylist. I never saw a razor used in the salon even tho a haircut and blowout cost 10Xs what a haircut and a shave cost at the time. Do those machines still exist? has one been made for home use? where's the shark tank when you need them??

If you use modern shave scuttle with a cork. Within half an hour to 1hr it is stay 110-115 Fahrenheit from pouring direct 150 fanhrenheit and it cooldown till the point it become stable after an hour and stay that way. It will cooldown within 2hrs to become room temperature I doubt people will shave 2hrs LOL, if you get old-school style victorian era then it is meant for soaking brush inside warm water and lather on top. Modern shaving scuttle way better
