People who make the purl stitch the “opposite” way have knit stitches that are seated the opposite way as well. Then they pick them up in the next row through the back loop. I think it’s called combined knitting.
@@damiendurwent9318This isn’t knitting through the back loop. The stitch is twisted on the needle (right leg is in back), and it’s straightening the stitch.
at 3:19 you have to work only on the middle 8 stitches, but you immediately reduce by one so you get to work on 7 stitches (Also reduce the 7 and 8 stitch). She didn't move the other stitches to another place like before, just ignored them. I have no idea on how she skipped the first stitches, there are different ways with different results. She did 2 together, rotate the work, slip one (the one you did 2 together), purl 6, 2 together. Rotate and work only on the middle 8 stitches (yes, they are 8). knit one, slip one, repeat three times, then knit one and 2 together. Proceed with the purl on the back and the reductions until you only have the middle stitches left.
She. Gave it to us as she knitted. Cast on 48 on 3mm needles and so forth. Very easy going to try this. I love hand knitted socks but not the progress.
Feel like these are for children’s feet, going by the foot used to measure. I was enjoying making this until I saw that. Now feel like I have wasted my time as I have no children to knit socks for. I saw in the comments it was a man size.
