I didnt see him in real contact with fighter. He is amateur. 90% what shows you cant use in real fight. *Edit: all techniques what he shows are to long to exercise. Attacker has time and lot of place to step back. Strert fight is another level of fighting. Third tech. is back spining elbow. We did it in matches, when second one has only one step back to ropes. It is absolut different on street.
Faint won't work on a boxer. Especially that weak ass faint. He announced that shit a mile away. This boy is gonna get y'all beat up. If this shit really worked on boxers, he'd be going to a boxing gym and do it there. Or maybe he did already, and that's how he ended up here cause against a real boxer didn't quite work.

Just consider this: The guy in these videos had 9 professional boxing fights according to boxrec, losing 8 times by knockout and once by throwing in the towel.
They may be aware of it, but without those big 10 oz gloves, it's way harder to block. All it takes is one to graze behind your ear to fuck your equilibrium up and cause you to fold like a lawn chair.

A boxer is not some magical being that never slips up and takes everything into account at all times...He also needs to worry about kicks, elbows, knees, takedown, and SLAMS in a "real" fight....all of that making it mich easier to land the overhand. And Boxers get caught with the overhand in pure boxing AL THE TIME
@@skarhead7597 Bad take. Real boxers(actually competed with years of exp.) very, very rarely slip up throwing hands on the street. Also, boxers(& ppl in general) are not looking for kicks knees elbows etc. Those are rare in street fights. So they would not distract. Many fighters expect the OH to be the first punch thrown. Eat em up. Also you don't want to go to the ground on purpose in most situations. Finally, of course we hit other boxers with the OH.. it's bc we are actual boxers & know the movements, timing, and mechanics of what's happening bc we've seen it a thousand times. & know what we are doing unlike these amateurs.

Depends who you're going against. The "Distraction" portion has you moving your head in toward your opponent and leaving one side of your face unguarded. So it comes down to who is faster between the two of you, and who is better trained.

Overhand punch is an excellent knockout punch. But best to wait for endurance to run out. Try it right off and you'll see a slip and left hook to the liver.

This is the very first technique most boxers are taught in their first lesson. It is not a secret street fighter's technique that guarantees success against a boxer.
@TheRecklessDark@@geedee1264 The first technique a boxer is taught is normally the jab, and the straight right. How to step into the jab and then how to turn off your right foot to throw a straight right. You should practice the 1-2 until you can do it well enough so you can then move onto the bag to practice actually hitting something. At least thats how i was taught, and its a good way to grasp the bare basics. Feints are a bit more advanced than learning proper punching technique. It's an important first step; so the novice doesn't hurt themselves hitting the bag.
I agree. 1, 2 is pretty well always the first techniques. & blocks , & basic footwork. A low feint followed by overhand comes later. I'd like to see all the critics demonstrate good form, speed & power like this, on video, not just with their mouths, or fingers actually...

You can't just have a go at people for being critics, critics are important and there will always be critics no matter where you go. If you don't like critics, then don't take criticism. Being good at boxing but being unable to take criticism just makes you a meathead at best.

One thing I learned in my early years, don't try and take on an opponent with their skills, take them on with your own skills. If you don't have any skill, run, distance yourself.
Never underestimate a good jab either. Lets you stay protected and can still do enough damage with a bare hand to make someone rethink wanting to fight. You don't always need a haymaker to make them stop.
Actually going to a gym made me realize how much ppl underestimate how quick a fight can be over… great technique, power and delivery this is training.
@@martinjugolin2087 yeah, how would a boxer defend a punch to the body AND THEN to the head? One of the two, maybe - on a good day. But both - no way. Mike Tyson in his prime couldn't survive an attack so diabolical in its ferociousness.
The first thing I noticed sparing is it’s much much harder to connect cleanly with a strike with an opponent because they are always moving, even leaning back slightly or turning throws off the power of a strike. I would be very careful about using any spinning back elbow type moves or moves where you turn away from the opponent like the third settup.
I know its a trendy thing to say seems like people say it a lot without really thinking about it, but Bruce used heavy bags a lot in is martial arts training. What did he mean in context of him saying it, probably was emphasising sparing when said that. He was also a big proponent of kicks to the groin and bladed stances which in this circumstance would be very helpful.
Are knees that common in street fights? I train Muy Thai so have always followed instructions and kept my head movement from dropping too low but I’ve always wondered if this is a realistic concern in self defense.
@@WhenYouveGoneGuruI grew up getting in a lot of street fights and have definitely thrown knees successfully in quite a few, BUT at the same time I’ve never had someone try one on me so maybe it’s anecdotal evidence. I don’t think it’s instinctual for an untrained guy to throw a knee since most of the time their goal is to whirl a few haymakers and pray to headhunt you before they gas themselves out. Only time I’ve ever taken a knee from someone in street fight was while we were clinched up and he had me backed against a wall.
Gotta remember what he is “demonstrating” isn’t really meant for the average guy. A feint, elevation change can certainly work if you are explosive and accurate. Problem is some random guy who has never been in a fight might see this and think “Oo the secret move” and end up getting their shit wrecked when it goes sideways 😂😅
@@ligyron2835 That's true. Of course it's not all about the knee. You can easily be kicked, grabbed for a chokehold, hit in the back of the head. During combat, you want to have a good distance and visibility to react in the most adequate way. Especially if you're a rookie like you say.
I don't know if a boxer would fall for a distraction made with a body hit. Most surely I wouldn't try it myself with a dude that train boxe or other stuff.

I'd see if you have a friend to spare with and that can take a hit from you like that. The 1st hit looks like 80% power & 2nd hit looks like nearly 100% since he threw his body into it. Not bad to use in a fight if you dont have any training cause the guy you against could be on your level and just start swinging but when you "feint" him then clock him with the actual hit. You got yourself a W P.S. A lot of people don't really know how to fight too well. Some have been in maybe 2-3 fights during high school, but that's where it ends. A move like this can def trick somebody who is rusty.
If you're an amateur fighting a boxer on the street, you're just better off grabbing a weapon off the ground and creating some distance. They are no rules in the street after all.
@HellBlazerMNE07 we invented weapons because they work. Fighting against an aggressor with a stick is always better than fighting without one. And I'd prefer to not be on the ground without knowing if there is someone near me ready to help the attacker.
The guy demonstrating the technique his footwork is beautiful. The speed and fluidity of the way he closed the distance and moves , I know it's only a heavy bag and not a moving target,but step to that dude it's going to be bad for your health!!!!
His main mistake is not having a plan for when it doesn't work. Like many people who only fights bags, he stays in position after delivering his hits. You have to get back in a good guard fast. A trained boxer would just step aside and hit back while he's just lingering there.
From my experience, uppercuts and palm strikes are most useful and unseen in street fights. Everykne is so focused on landing consecutive punches that theyre defense goes down. If you hit someones jaw or temple with the base of your palm you do way more damage because theres less nerves, therefore hurts your hand less to attack and allows you to strike full force. For example if i told you to bare knuckle punch a brick wall as hard as u can, you wouldnt be able too because your brain naturally will NOT let you hurt yourself intentionally and you know a knuckle will break. While using your palm you could probable shake the wall or break through the brick with a minimal wrist injury at MOST. Plus leaving your hands open is better to parry and deflect punches. Something to think about
