This kind of video of high mmr player explaining his own match is gonna blow up in the future. I’m not even a meepo player but I learned so much just by listening to him explaining his mindset😂
I just got into dota and it's stuff like meepo that makes me adore it. The sheer scale and complexity is incredible, like I seriously doubt I'll even touch meepo cuz complex but in glad he's here
You're probably not gonna believe me but meepo isnt that hard . I played him when i had 500 games or so and i was pulling 20 kills every other game without even buying blink and doing the Tab W combo
Managed to fatly carry my first all pick game with meepo today thanks to your guide, I've also noticed my micro skills improving at 600% speed, I'm not trying to dickride here but you've definitley helped me improve as a dota 2 player immensley.
Everytime I watch your stream i had so many questions about your meepo build. I alsways tried to understand the diffu manta istead of going dragon lance blink skadi type build. But my god you explained it so well. I now feel like such a noob for going in first as meepo and tanking every enemy spell like a fool. Thank you so much for this video! I feel like I learned so much about the game in general by hearing you talk about the way you approach fights on meepo. Best guide i have ever seen!
I used to play dota years ago. I'm getting back into it. Meepo was always one of my favorites. I've been struggling with him since I came back. I'm going to try this build out and check your stream out. Nothing is better than having a team grief you cause your meepo pick, and then you carry them with a 15-2 game.
Really cool guide. I tried out playing Meepo for the first time. What I am most curious about which was not entirely dealt with in the guide is how you manage your camera and overview throughout the game. I would love to hear your 2 sense on that.
If you double tap your hotkeys it will shift your camera to the unit you are trying to micro. So if you double tap 2 it will shift to your main meepo. If you double tap B your camera will shift to your 2nd meepo. Hope that helps. Use your minimap aswell to keep track of your meepos as well. Hope that helps a little bit.
Cool video. I'm trying to get back to the game, but I used to play support role before, and now I've tried to dip in with Ogre Magi, but I feel bit slow with him, especially if I try to pull camps. Well this video worked to give some perspective on the game in general, and that is great. Also it almost sold Meepo to me.
After I finish this school year in my second year college, this is all im gonna do, i need to chill, train, refresh my mind, do the things i want like mastering meepo so that i can have another fresh mind going in my third year college, call me wierd but i have been trying my best to master this hero. still not good enough, hope this guide can improve my capability to handle this hero! 🤩
I reach 6k with meepo everyday play meepo, things that i hate is batrider, huskar, im only good on right click heroes, and i was watching you on twitch as well and now i watch this video make me want to play more meepo games haha
Finally the long awaited meepo guide!!! Thanks meeposkii. Love to see more content from you. The smart net command and tp bug is really op I didn't know. Thanks
Congratulations on your Twitch success. I started playing Meepo about 3 weeks ago. We've all had our "I'll try Meepo. Oh I screwed up royally." matches, but this time I spent time setting hotkeys properly, tried bot matches; I could already play Arc, Brood and Brew so I thought Meepo would be easy, and after really giving him a go, he is! I do struggle a bit though. Laning feels confusing, I haven't yet learned what my limits are, etc. Just comes with more practice, but great guide. If you might be looking to expand your RU-vid and would be looking for an editor, please let me know, I'd love to help with something I'm so interested in.
Thx to your vid, today I decided to play Meepo for the first time. I've always been afraid of this hero (playing him and against him) but I ended up winning the match (4/3/7 - Crusader 1) mainly because of my team. I'll keep practicing! Thx
I have meepo as my all hero challenge, ive practiced a bit with bots to get used to the micro, but bots are nothing compared to playing against people lol. Good video, but i think it could use a bit more of a breakdown into how to use the heroes strength of being/farming everywhere. Explaining how one meepo should be getting lane exp/gold, 1 in main jungle, and 1 in ancient hardcamp/enemy hardcamp etc. Right now it seems like the video is more of a few tips and tricks, and a replay analysis of a "tough" lineup for meepo
When I asked for help to just get back into the game people just pointed out for me to go to bot games... Well I thought that only thing that is the same there than in pvp games is the jungle. 100 games of just doing jungle? Well I don't know if that has any real use in the end.
I used to be meepo spammer, 600 games 57% wr. stopped playing after i switched accounts in 7. something honestly maybe once dota plus came out this playstyle is super foreign to how I would play mid meepo, blink hex skadi, roshan and win style. ty for opening my eyes to a new way to play meepo.
I'm a returning meepo player, stopped playing since 2019 and started playing again last week. Meepo is really confusion for me right now due to the changes. I'm kinda used to playing the blink poof burst meepo style and this guide is interesting as you only have to manfight everyone. Will definitely try this, but for me blink poof meepo just doesn't feel as good as before.
Blink poof is too dangerous nowadays. Too many heroes have a ton of AOE lockdown or damage. I agree with Meeposkii on the main dog approach and only utilizing your secondary Meepos for farming; late combat engagement or pick offs.
in my case i do 2 wraithbands early then proceed to rush aghanims.by then i can engage on teamfights confidently. shard for initiation or skadi if little chance to initiate due to enemy and team lineup
Bro as someone with over 800 meepo games I have never thought to just fight with 1 meepo and poof the rest in if they decided to finally use their spells on your team. It's like so obvious now that I see it. Wow, I might have a reason to finally gets my meeps back up and running
i try my best to play meepo nice but i everytime i lost , so i try to watch your video and i figure that out that i hate meepo because i like heros that most are in team fight
cool trick also to use the manta to travel the main meepo to the enemy using the manta's clone to catapult. Ilusions cal also catapult meepos so no need to teeleport a seccond meepo to be catapulted
Funny thing, I've been playing mid meepo and then switched on safelane and felt way much easier. You kill easier, get more farm and also since you are pos 1, you get the priority for farming. I'm happy I am doing the right thing, because people would question my judgment :D Could you maybe show how to play against earthshaker, cause I barely win any games against him.
Generally you out pace an earthshaker. When your 15 he should be lvl 8. His blink won't come until almost 15-20 minutes so you have a lot of time to pressure him and shut him down even further.
Got back to this video just to thank you with the hotkey settings and the console. Never touched meepo but i have played micro heroes like naga and tb. In my 8 games played, i lost 2 and won 6. 4 of which, i was mvp. Im addicted to meepo now. Xd
Thankyou as a fellow meepo player, i found a new way to enjoy the hero, kind of getting a little bored of the mid meepo with lance dagger hex skadi play style i've reached grandmaster tier using that same build over and over again rofl, and i would just like to ask what is the name of the set that you have in the beggining the one that has an octopus head thankyou!
Im a meepo player but never evolved to learn how to individually hotkey each meepo, which is what i was looking for. How on earth do you reach M and , comfortably lol. Great guide tho
By far my favourite hero but i suck with it... Big thank for all the tips (especially the part about setting control hotkey but i'm so lazy... I play with control for the main one, ctrl command to move all the hero without selecting them and one last for all secondary meepo. And i just click them in fight haha) And wow the dota console thing, so useful keep up the good work 🙂
The boots used to be worse, it'd give a free tp scroll to clones and then sell for full price. So you could spend 10 seconds to get dozens of free tps on the clones
As a avid meepo enjoyer i love this replay analysis stuff because i know how to keybind and itemize but where should my meepos be going, thats an ez sub for me
bruh. . .where were u years ago when iw as watching delivish replays and owning w/ meepo? ive analyzed hUNDREDS of meepo replays and never once saw the BOTS glitch--this is superb! also, the net command is a life saver as well. can't agree more w/ ur ending advice of first picking meepo--i used to do that just for shits and giggles b/c i liked the challenge. wped siir! lastly--what. . .WHAT! do you do when either your lane is taken and your team refuses to give you a solid meepo lane, or meepo is banned?
Very insightful guide and as someone who spams meepo, I quite surprised that I don't know that command key. I think you should make use of the shard. It's best upgrade for meepo since you can jump to people who has force staff or against range hero.
@@meeposkii Yeah you should. Just assign it on quickcast button. So good against hero trying to kite you or escape from you. You could also use it to toss away low hp Meepo to nearby neutral or enemy creep faster way to escape from a team fight
thanks A LOT for this guidance!!! I struggled since they changed dmg type of all abilities to true dmg (but nerfed it overall). Now i played once your way. instantly dominated heavily. (ranked win 5-1-10 thx! :) ) I think the main thing is that poof actually suck right now. It doesn't burst anymore. E is easier to jungle with, and without maxing W one can level nicely into Q early (what poof-builds are kinda lacking ^^). Beautiful! And big thx! to this console command :3 thats so much more comfortable.
What's a decent farming pattern for the other meepos? With the 2nd you can just shift queue him around the jungle but what about the others? Do they join the 2nd farming or go somewhere else? Are you farming with secondary meepos all the time they're not directly in a fight?
Nice tips, however have you tried playing Meepo in low immortal mmr ( sub 500 ), with sub 2k behavior score? would like you to adapt to griefing team or afk team mates haha, Try it out mate!
Love the fact that Lich didn't even get a honorable mention as a counter but something like Veno who people probably don't even consider is at the top. Appreciate the guide! Was about time :D
I always felt like lich was somewhat lack luster. Definitely annoying but most games I don't even notice he's there lol. But when Veno get a gale on all of my Meepo's it makes it so hard to take a good fight since I'm so slow and my blink is constantly on CD...
@@meeposkii Yeah as a Meepo player, I agree with you completely on that. Experienced the exact same in my games. Lich is more annoying with the shield than anything else. Been watching you for quite a while and learned a lot from your games. I am far below you by all means, but my only differentiating opinion and what I feel is overlooked in the vid is that you don't give Aghs as much thought when occasionally it seems like it would be one of the better if not best item (in already hard, losing games to be fair). Keep up the good work, looking forward to more videos!
lich is total dog shit vs meepo if you actually break it down with all the new kit you can buy... last time i cared about lich in my game ember spirit was the oh fuck pick i watched for most and this was almost a decade ago. ember would finish battle fury and you became a walking gold fountain for him haha
@@TuRaTic Would you want to go with the phrase "total dog shit" though? Don't get me wrong, I agree it isn't that great, nowhere near what it once was... But percentage dmg reduction shield, aoe nuke/slow and big aoe nuke, potential aoe stun with aghs, I would hardly describe it as total dog shit. Something like Shadow Demon would be total dog shit, Lich can at least make you think twice
Great guide brother! Used to watch your streams daily back in the day. What do you use to get the meepo set you have on? Im guessing its some sort of skin changer for the default items?
@@meeposkii if it aint a secret, what mod do you use? Because i also used to do this back when i played dota but now all the old mods have crypto miners in them cant seem to find a legit one 😄
lol man I made a 1 minute video about that console command like 10 years ago and thought it had been patched out of the game, fuck man there have been so many nets i needed just a few milliseconds sooner. I took a lot from this video, far more than I anticipated... I have not been judging when to go into fights or playing a more carry type role at all as meepo, for the year back at the game I have just been trying to more or less react to people feeding the fuck out of other heros. the dota game you are playing in this video is far closer to the dota I used to play; the lower mmr I fuck with now is just who feeds less and its totally fucking batshit the whole game.
great video. just followed your twitch. One thing I’d add to this guide is what heroes is meepo really good against? What heroes have the lowest chance against meepo?
@@meeposkii Wow thank you for your reply. I actually just recently started practicing meepo. I have a pretty good experience playing meepo in dota 1 but never tried it seriously in dota 2. I'm 4k mmr and me picking meepo every game is pretty much ruining the game for my teammates. So knowing who meepo has the best chances against would definitely help.
Question please : is it necessary to put separated control groups on the clones ? Example: hotkey 1 = meepo 2 and 3. Hotkey 2 = meepo 3,4,5. Won’t the farming be slower ? Can I farm with 1 main meepo separated but all clones together ? Thank you.
@@meeposkii Thank you so much for replying . I have OCD. I get anxious if I compare my own method to immortal players like you. My thought is “maybe what im doing is wrong that’s why im low rank meepo “. Could you please explain more about the comfortability side versus being “perfect”. It would mean a lot to me. Thank you again.
How come you didn't include Queen of Pain? and especially QoP Aghs effect and Qop Q Aoe effect talent I got destroyed against Queen of Pain Q AOE effect+Aghs twice with manta build and just pipe+Mage Slayer all magic resist as much as possible noone went pipe in my team the second time I tried to experiment and survive against QoP q AOE + Aghs effect damage I always waited for QoP to show up in team fight but all Qop ever did was focus on me and get me rekt every time with aghs effect and aoe effect I always died with when I committed with all meepos only did enough damage against enemy hero to kill a single core til the aghs effect countdown then just 2 meepos but damage wasn't enough with 2 meepos to kill a single core so how can I approach my teamfight against QoP?
