Letting go is extremely easy when we let it be easy, but also letting go is extremely hard if we believe letting go is hard.
Now in this video I want to show you the seven tips that have made letting go so much easier for me, even at times when I believed letting go was impossible.
First tip with this is to become aware of what attachment you have and how that's helping you to avoid feeling certain emotions.
So this is an interesting part of the process is a lot of times what we do is we may have an attachment, maybe that attachment is to a belief about ourselves, maybe it's to a person, maybe it's to someone in your past, maybe the attachment is to people thinking about you in a certain way or what other people think about you.
And what happens is these attachments we think are there because we need whatever that is. The belief is if I have that person, then I'll be enough, then I'll be happy.
If these people feel this way about me and they give me the validation or approval or whatever it is, then I will finally feel enough and I can feel safe. The challenge with this is that if that's the belief, then of course it's hard to let go.
It's hard to let go when you believe somebody else has your eternal happiness, when you believe someone else has a part of you that you need. And the thing that makes all the difference in the world is when you become aware that the attachment you have is simply a distraction from feeling certain emotions.
And they say that a lot of times these emotions are either a mix of fear, grief or anger. So at a certain level, there may be an avoidance of looking at anger. Let's think about this and the whole nice guy persona thing.
Some people, especially empathic people, may identify as being a nice guy or a people pleaser. Normally under a nice guy or a people pleaser, what's happening is there's this fake facade that's (indistinct) up, the facade is, I'm gonna be very nice, and this also gets back to manipulation.
I read this book recently and it talked about manipulation and it uses words to understand the deeper meaning of it. Now think of it like this, think of like a nice guy who was once a baby, who was given the nipple of the mom and that was the source of everything.
That was the source of comfort, the source of nurturing, the source of nutrients. And then at a certain point, the nipple went away or it wasn't around.
And what happens is in order for some people to get their needs met, what they do is is they
manipulate, manipulation, manipulate other people so that they can get the teat, they can get the nipple.
And what they're doing is they're going over to people and they're like, "Are you the nipple? Are you the nipple?" And then other people feel that needy energy and they're like, get away from me, find your source within yourself.
And that's why that journey is normally you must be the source of your own happiness and let go of the belief, the attachment that everyone else become the teat.
So it's kind of a metaphor there, it's kind of a funny metaphor. But nonetheless, that's what a lot of times people pleasers and nice guys manipulation, man-nipple-asian they want the nipple in everything and they're looking for the source outside of themselves.
So the attachment is the belief, the attachment is the awareness. And a lot of times the attachment is a distraction from feeling your own emotions.
So the key to this is to actually, and this is something I've been doing recently when it comes to looking at any attachment I have and honestly feeling the patterns in my body that come from childhood and allowing myself to feel it, to heal it.
Because as you bring awareness into presence, that allows the energy to leave your body from the childhood dynamics.
Because here's an interesting thing, and this is the second one that I wanna share with you when it comes to the tip to letting go.
It's understanding that there really is no outside, there really even when you look at the triggers in your life, your friend not calling you back, somebody else saying something to you that ticks you off, somebody else showing up late.
Whatever the trigger is in your life, you think that it has to do with them. You might think there's a story there. People always do this to me, people are always late. Whatever the story is, the story is a reflection of an energy signature of an energy.
And the key is realizing that that energy, the story is not true. And the story, whatever the trigger is, that's a messenger.

Make a list of wrongs what this person did to u, read it in the morning, during the day, before bed. Everyday. Every day. Every day. Don’t drown in illusions, help yourself… I cried one month everyday, now feel better. Ex is not your entire life, it’s just some part of it. Hugs for everyone! Pain will pass, I promise. So basically, I've been afraid of loosing someone and being attached to that fear of abandonment has kept me from letting go..when In reality, the person and situation is already gone. And obviously, I survived and didn't need it anyway. So knowing now that there's nothing to fear because it's already happened, means I can choose to accept it and let it go. Why fear a storm that's already passed over!! Thanks, I've binged your letting go videos several times over the last few years..and the sad part is, it's always because of the same avoidant person......

Please God help me to always remember these 4 things when it comes to my friendship with him... 1) This is about HIM. HIS BEAHVIOR. This does not reflect in any way, whatsoever, on my own worth. 2) My self esteem needs boosting and healing; this is why the loss of him, leaves me so despaired. 3) I'm in the driver's seat. It's not just up to him to dictate how this is going to go! 4) I need to be with myself, invested in my self, present with me.

I believe he is saying that until you recognize the unhealthy feelings, traumas, experiences, or emotions that you have inside, why they are there, and actually feel them (shed light on them); you will not be able to heal them. A lot of times they are there and you do not know it and it comes on in many ways. When you become aware of why you are doing, feeling, believing, thinking, and living the way that you do because of bad past experiences, you will show up for yourself and become different by healing those places and others will be able to see this change on the outside. You do it so that you can live a better more peaceful loving life and give that to others rather than the bad that you had inside. It’s like, you feel sick. The doctor tells you that you have a disease but does not tell you what it is. How will you heal it if you don’t know what it is? They will have ask questions, run analysis, dive deep, discover when the symptoms occurred and where the disease ( came from) etc. in order to correctly provide a solution or cure. Idk… That’s what I think…

finding this channel has begun to change my life. i moved to Seattle a month ago after years of feeling like i was stuck. shortly after moving i realized that no matter where i went, there i was. Sure i was better because of the change in environment but somewhere in my mind i had an unrealistic expectation that if i moved to the place i wanted to live in i would automatically align to the person i always wanted to be. And thats just not how it works, i quickly realized i was still the exact same person, and although i took one huge leap there is so much work to be done. i am excited and terrified at the same time but there is nothing scarier than staying the same as the person you don’t like being. i don’t want the past to continue interfering with my life. (another scary part is that i recognize all the people i attract are the exact same people/type of people) to anybody that is feeling stuck i want you to know that you are one choice away from changing everything, believe me. take care! and thank you aaron for helping us out, this video was a necessary 10 out of 10

I wonder if you could make a video about that kind of attachment where you are attached NOT to what you want, but to what you don't want: negative relationships, negative outcomes, negative self-concepts, etc. You usually talk about letting go of our desire for things we want (health, money, love), but a lot of us neurotic people pleasers are actually attached to outcomes and situations we don't want. How do we let go of these attachments? I'd appreciate your insights about this very much. I love your energy and insights! Thank you!!

We should always put ourselves first. Letting go is hard but once you realize you have those attachments and they're toxic as hell it gets easier. I was in a 25 year horrible marriage and kept telling myself it's love . But it was far from it. Narcissist don't really know how to love. I should know I had many of them in my life and cut them loose. Sadly one was even my stepdaughter who I raised since 1 years old.

Omg this video! Unbelievable, thank you! At the end, where he’s talking about not blaming and shooting the messenger, I realized I started doing this both when I decided to not complain anymore at all under any circumstances and when I learned everything in life is a lesson and the people who trigger you are your teachers. Something triggering happens, you immediately thank the universe for the lesson, and that stops all resistance and blaming and all the negativity that would normally ensue. Taking responsibility for ALL in your experience (ho’oponopono) is the key to everything, to true personal and spiritual growth. Thank Aaron for you time, knowledge and energy! God bless ✨

I think that’s me too. Having ocd, adhd, & gad all anxiety based disorders. Growing up with a sick Mom as the youngest out of 4, but no guidance from my siblings or parents. I was essentially well I became the one who watched over our Mom, and so I realized during the last 3 years that being uncomfortable/fear is my lack of no control. I can’t control what I don’t know. I feel like ocd developed from thinking I would stop the sickness from my Mom, fighting parents, etc., completing my compulsions/impulsiveness. Despite not having a life with friends but instead being codependent with my mom and older sister who needed me. I didn’t understand codependency until 2022. I just didn’t get it until a therapist pointed it out.

Not getting attached to people is so hard. Especially when we really like them. I struggle with attachment too. I try to make sense of it all the time. You know what I found helpful, just giving up, on not getting attached. I accepted that I am going to get attached to certain people. It's natural. The trick is to get attached to someone, who can be fully available for me. They might be a kind and loving person but they might not be fully available for me. Choose who chooses you. You cannot fully resolve all your traumas on your own. Relational trauma is cured through relationships with others. Others who chose you, who can be fully there for you. Fear of abandonment can be fully resolved if you have a loving, caring, stable person in your circle. This video was so deep. Really therapeutic Thank you Aaron! Feel it to heal it!

My counselor even told me that my Ex GF was also somewhat of a Mother figure (the teat) because she was so nurturing and giving. Aaron is correct. And I was avoidant. I'm working on myself. I did have CPTSD and learned the wrong lesson about what love is. But she had it hard too, like she was forced to take care of her Mom and her brothers and Sisters. Didn't even have time to do her High School homework. Then she moved away to be a Nanny, met her abusive husband and had 3 kids. Still, she was able to be there for them as a single Mom, and she was able to show up, for me. This one is hard to let go. Really hard. And at the end of the day, we aren't together having Sunday dinner and movie together. And in the morning there's no texts. It's just me crawling in my skin (sorry Linkin Park) inside a massive void that is my life now.

Thank you for being so helpful ❤ i get interesting visions and insights when I meditate. One night I got “a RU-vidr doesn’t always stay a RU-vidr forever” I am not a RU-vidr, but you are Aaron. You can be a RU-vidr and someone that does live events, but it is probably time for that transition to move forward. If you want it, it’s yours. This video helped me a lot thank you !
