Question is, does drilling the holes in the skeg nullify the Mercury warranty on your motor. Haven't had anyone yet be able to answer that question

Anyone ever used these, recently ordered mine for a 70 HP bully boat here in the Florida Keys, looks like it can definitely help prevent some prop and skeg damage when in the shallows

I have bent my skeg and knocked about 3/4" off the bottom. I will be able to straighten the skeg. Can i mount this down a little from my damaged skeg or all the way up as long as it clears the prop by a 1/4" and does not drill into the reservoir.

Mac's Prop Savers, Do you think it would be wise to use some sort of product to prevent the stainless steel bolts and the aluminum skeg from reacting to each other?

Ive had 2 of these mounted on 2 motors for 30+ years with no issues. Never really thought of that
