An ESS supercharger kit is the way to go, best bang for your buck. Make sure you've got 3.55 gears, and a 2018+ intake manifold is going to outperform any manifold by a long shot, just make sure to lock the mani's lockouts. You can crawl past 800hp no problem
I saw a guy take an automatic Gen 2 to 9s for about $20-25k including price of car. The car came from a insurance auction and they got to it from there. Took maybe a month or less to complete.
Yes to changing the clutch too. The stock clutch will not hold up well to added power of the the Procharger. I procharged my 2018 Camaro 1LE and went ahead and put in the triple disc monster clutch(among a ton of other internal engine upgrades to handle the power) ---all forged internals, cam, long tubes, high and low side fuel system, bigger injectors, DOD/AFM valley cover delete, E85, one piece drive line and axles rated for 1000+HP, new ECU so it could be tuned properly, etc
Since no one is saying it, if you go procharger you really should put a crank support as well that’s why the procharger kits for these are bargains right now.
Do you have a video on gen1? Cause anyone that’s gonna say it’s the same it’s not in its entirety even though parts are interchangeable I have a gen1 block I rebuilt and like to get some intel on the heads. Thanks for the vids g
Gen 1 coyote (11-14) is best bang for buck. Runs 12.4@116 with a 93 tune only on a 2.2 60’. 11-14 mustang is a lot cheaper than s550 and will pull better numbers on a straight, PLUS IT HAS A SRA. There’s plenty of bolt on 10 second 11-14 5.0s
Ehhhh I wouldn’t buy a plain Jane procharger. Stg 2 intercooler, upgrade to p1x or D1x and cut gears and big red blow off valve. I went ahead and did satin black on the unit and bracket while I was at it
I tried to buy a v8 6th Gen camaro but I couldn’t afford it so I got a 2017 Camaro RS ( yes it’s a V6 but I love it) how can I make it break around 425 or 475 HP cause I seen that the horsepower on them now is like 335.
