Awesome, must and will try this...just bought a EK Cobra RX Adder Multi-Shot Crossbow: 130lbs at 270 fps today for my son. Also bought a Fun Target 3D Foam Archery Target Cube 18 Sides...first shot and the bolt disappeared into the foam..no hope of getting it back. Decided to test the next one on a piling post plank and the bolt embedded itself too deeply and the head detached itself. 2 shots and 2 bolts gone!! The foam i bought was ok for my 50 pound pistol crossbow but no good for the 130 punder. Spotted this video and now will be collecting as much thick cardboard and pillow foam to give it a try..Thanks for giving me some hope here as the targets I saw online are hideously expensive to buy..especially here in NZ.

Thank you from across the pond in Saskatchewan Canada! I just started using my Bear X Trek 380 and despite what I was told, apparently Hard Core straw bales are not firm enough to stop a bolt from a 185psi hunting crossbow. (I now need to cut into the bales and get my bolts back... 🤡🤡🤡)

I built this exact target, but my Adder was shooting standard bolts to the hilt, destroyed the vanes on all of them. Stood 15m away and still did it. I'm not sure if the cardboard in this is stronger, but it obviously matters what cardboard you use. I even put couple pairs of jeans in like advised, I can't get far enough away to not lose the bolts in it.

hey mate can you use that slimmer old school broad head design (orange fetching 15 inch) on the adder? I know some broad heads are too wide but that one looks just right from the box. Curious as i want to buy them.

Good idea, tried an old drawer stuffed with carpet, works for air pistols an crossbow pistols too. Can`t get hold of boxes like that now.

If you damage the fletchings just pour boiling water over them and they go back to original shape.
