@@personman8734 The Geneva Convention is not the problem, it has no jurisdiction in fighting scum who want to steal our key less go car or even a single penny. The problem, at least in Europe and especially in Germany, lies in the other legislation that puts the protection of the perpetrator above the protection of the physical integrity and property of the victim, and in the case where they can defend themselves, they still have to put up with nonsensical questions about the proportionality of their reaction. Apart from that, in countries with a reasonable attitude towards perpetrators who trespass on property and launch an assault, why use a crossbow and steel bolts with a hardened surface and tip, as well as a soft core, instead of a "dessert eagle"? The "Dessert Eagle" and its magnum bullets leaves a huge mess in the house, which you have to clean up afterwards and even damages good old German stone walls. Don't forget a trained shooter always works with a double shot when under attack. Magnum bullets are not cheap and recovering the cost of them from an attacker or his heirs may require quite a bit of effort. The steel bolt is different, either push it through or cut it out and reuse it.
@@wernerruf7761 r/wooosh dude I was making a joke not a commentary on the faults in the policies of the European Union. Do you just need to talk to someone god damn.
I wish to like your comment but alas you are at 69. Maybe that might change but it is my civic duty to keep the magical meme number alive. Enjoy your 69 likes boss man. You earned it.
ironically enough i think its more in a way of trying to figure out things that some people may do. and then do them safely (and or show off why not to do such a thing)
@SAMUIL BABETTO Can't ya just picture him saying something like "...no Mr. Bond, I expect you to die. And this is why. Let me show you it's features..." Should be in the show's intro.
You have to find the right TV network when it comes educational and intelligent content. Usually the target audience of most TV shows is people who dont think for themselves and are addicted to drama.
@@Brent-jj6qi Asking as someone who was into airsoft before COVID put a halt on that - where in the world is it a good idea to carry an airsoft gun in public? Legit question lol
@@BaritoneMonkey if you can find a no permit open carry US state, nobody will ask if you’re carrying a real gun, so you can get away with an airsoft one
Ya gotta put garlic juice, silver nitrate, and ferric chloride in those vials to make "triple kill" bolts for vampires, weres, or fairie creatures. (Lol)
@@aluminiumknight4038 silver nitrate I believe is toxic, not sure as to what a lethal or even noticable does is though, metal poisoning tends to be require a fairly high mass. Ferric chloride I'd assume is also toxic, although again I don't know about dosages. And, of course, don't forget that it is still a a crossbow bolts, with a glass tip some some localized shredding will occur. Overall, i doubt it would be more effective against humans than a basic broadhead, but it would certainly not be pleasant. Doesn't help that poison is generally a weapon for people who are either very confident in there running away abilities, or just or satisfied if the person who killed them dies as well.
"This one is a primer for muzzleloader... you can fill the arrow with well I'll leave that to your imagination and will explode on contact!" hahahahahahaha Mr Sprave best Bond villain ever
You can have guns (pistols, revolvers, shotguns, semi-automatic rifles etc.), as long as you join a shooting club or become a licensed hunter. What you can’t do is carry loaded guns in public.
@@seanthiar Well obviously if it’s your job to have a gun then yes, but that’s pretty much only the case if you guard money transports or work as a bodyguard. As a normal civilian you won’t get a Waffenschein for carrying guns in public, only a Waffenbesitzkarte which allows you to use the gun at a shooting range or whilst you’re hunting (if you’re a licensed hunter).
Imagine running from zombies and encountering a guy with a crossbow and you start to feel hopeless because it's just arrows but then the zombies start melting and exploding.
I immediately thought of the movie predator. Remember his exploding arrow from his bushcraft bow? When I was a kid watching that I went, "WOWWW!" and now I have the effective design idea! A percussion cap! Of course! I am going to blow up so many things.
Don't ever do something like that at home! ... Only in a save environment ... like my garage i have at home 🤪 Good thing he took precautions against the exploding bolt ... oh wait he didn't you say ... well nvm 🤔
A glass vile means it could hold some incredibly caustic acid. Imagine being hit with an acid arrow, or seeing a heavily armored target and thinking how unfortunate it would be if he had acid eating through his helmet. Not to mention the potential for sabotage.
Man, I just gotta say, I'm so happy that this channel survived the adpocalypse. I get really excited every time I see a new video is up. Joerg's cheerful demeanor is a much needed distraction from all the scary shit going on in the world right now. Keep it up, man!
Looking at the liquid capsule tips, one could do a two part reactive substance to make some interesting things happen on impact. Also if you want to get a little nore high tech with the primer cap bolt tips you could design it so that rather than blowing back in to the shaft and bust the shaft or blast chamber of the shaft, you could make it in to a mini shapre charge and have the blast go more forward towards the tip. All things aside though, the things created in your workshop with mostly every items is astounding and frighteningly awesome.
Once I suggested you to create a bodkin with only 3 machined edges. This would decrease the angle of the edge and would make it sharper. I would bet my legs that this would be more penetrative.
Incidentally, and likely the reason you don't see such bodkins, is that it is far harder to sew shut a triangular wound than a square shaped hole in the flesh.
@@StacheMan26 The reason you don't have see it is because it's hard to forge a triangle, square shapes are dead easy and it wasn't worth the extra effort for the possible performance gains
@@StacheMan26 triangular blades are illegal in most places because of that reasoning. Started with triangular trench bayonets back in the war i believe
@Cock McBalls Yup, I'm pretty sure me and some of my friends made technically illegal weapons here in my country (Netherlands). For some weird reason slingshots ("katapult" in Dutch) are included in the list of things that aren't allowed (except for a few specific exceptions like armed forces, police during investigations, etc). As far as I'm aware it's not possible as a normal citizen to get a permit for it, even fishing slingshots (to launch bait) technically fall under this. The only exception I'm aware of are things clearly designed as toys well below the potentially harmful limit, which I'm sure some of those creations back then did not meet. I do think it's funny that those aren't defined as a "categorie IV" weapon though for which over 18 year olds get an exception on own terrain (or the permission of the owner). Exceptions in that category already include: air rifles/pistols, crossbows, bows, swords, harpoons. I really wonder what made them put slingshots on the bad list in the first place, but I do think it doesn't have an exception because there's little to no organised (international) sport competition in it that I'm aware of.
I appreciate Joerg’s candor, and wonder what’s wrong about the razor vanes; they’re just like rear broadheads, and will make hunting more merciful to the animal.
At 6:04-6:05 the way he described the bolt and then laughed was just so diabolically amazing. He needs to do a couple episodes of an anime not only will he generate a revenue but it would be awesome.
