@@anubis4032 Find another Wendy's that's not owned by Indians would be my suggestion. For some reason a lot of Indians own Wendy's franchises and they tend to be way lower quality than other franchise owners. Source I used to work in the franchising industry, they also own a bunch of Subways.
Pro tip: on the leaf lettuce, take an extra second and make an inch long tear upward from the base of the leaf. Pull the two flaps together so they overlap. Slap the crown on to hold in place. This gives you a very attractive lettuce disc that's even all the way around. I figured that out when I was working at DQ when they used to use leaf lettuce. Makes the burger look more like what you see on the menu or in commercials. I got quite a few compliments about how pretty my Grillburgers looked and it literally takes no time at all to do.
Well technically there is supposed to be a grill operator who is supposed to flip the patties to keep them fresher longer. We also do a 3 stages process so there should always be fresh meat but sometimes it's not always possible depending on how busy we get or short staffed.
McDonald's is worse their meat sits in a warmer for up to 15 minutes. It's almost always never fresh unless you get lucky during a rush where meat is constantly being dropped. Also McDonald's uses frozen patties stored in a freezer. We use a refrigerator to store our patties so their never frozen.
I worked at Wendy’s for 3 weeks. The cook that was training me had long dirty fingernails he would use to pry the burgers apart from the fridge. I never forgot that...
My Wendy's didn't even always serve frozen beef like they claim in the ads. We would open in the morning and serve yesterday's refrigerated left overs.
@@eyeflaps The ads are “fresh never frozen beef”. We never had frozen beef but the patties are still stacked and since it’s not frozen it’s hard to pull them about because it’s mushy (and the paper between them wasn’t always even) so he would use his long dirty thumb nail.
We’re normally supposed to. if there’s a rush, we put slices of cheese on the meat before it’s even ordered so that’s it’s already melted by the time it needs to be used, but I guess a lot of places won’t unless the higher ups are there
@@patrickgearns6276 I can see that. I've been to one in Kentucky, and it's the same with Tennessee. Maybe the south likes mustard more? Who knows. Lol 🤷🏻♂️
Ya here in Canada Wendy's stopped putting mustard on their burgers. It's just ketchup, mayo, lettuce Crinkle Cut pickles. Maybe it's different in each region. They used to put mustard on their burgers here but not anymore.
I worked for Wendys 16 years ago. Im guessing it changed, because this is how we USED to make Doubles.... 2 slices of cheese (one on top of each meat patty.) On the top bun ... Mayo Ketchup Mustard (in shape of "W") Pickles (4 slices) Onion (2 slices) Tomato (2 slices) Lettuce (1 leaf) Singles, Doubles, and Triples all came with EVERYTHING on them.
I’ve worked there for the past two years and left a month ago and it was always 2 cheese (middle and top) Mayo Ketchup No mustard unless they asked for it 3 pickles 2 onions 1 tomato (2 if small) Lettuce Also mustard is in a W on the top patty if they did order it, but I think they were talking about switching it to 1 slice of cheese before I left
knowledge of the daves double is lacking. He must not be an operator.Need to spread the condiments, one more pickle, mustard is optional by market. When wrapping, he missed the first two folds.
The Dave's Double is so underrated and slept on by so many people. It is easily the best fast food burger in the game. This is a hill I am willing to die on.
I used to work at Wendy's and on a Dave's single, double, and triple we never put mustard on them..... unless it was a customer request. The only burgers that we put mustard on were double stacks, and bacon double stacks, or the junior pattys
As someone who follows a strict 4,000 Cal/ a day diet it’s very important that I know WHAT I am putting into my body. This is a comprehensive breakdown of the “need to know” information that can keep me at my peak physical condition. This employee is a gentlemen and a scholar, excellent video!
Worked at a Wendy's in Tx once, I worked there for two years it was a franchise not with corporate and it was a horrible experience, they kept moving me due to managers and general managers quitting left and right, this one Wendy's had no AC in the kitchen area for almost 2yrs maybe more than that, and this other Wendy's every once in a while served expired food products every other time or so. I remember this one time a Gm made us use expired small bread for the smallest burgers like the Junior Bacon Cheeseburger, some of the bread in packaging had mold and the Gm told us to only serve the ones that didn't have the mold even tho they were next and touching each other in the same packaging, it was horrible and it just made me sick to my stomach and had to leave. I still have photos on my old phone of the mold and all the expired products they made us serve to the customers, it was a disgusting experience working there, also btw no good leadership and everyone was so mean and bullying, the Dms and Gms threatening the employees into serving expired food products with mold to the customers or else loose their jobs, trust me I was one of the employees 🗣️🤢👎
That is not true of all Wendy's. I work for a franchise Wendy's and we NEVER use expired products. I can relate to the AC issue tho. We have a kitchen AC but it barely works so we have to go up to the front counter every so often to get cool air from the dining room.
@@shannoncalleja2209 the acs are not that good either because it makes the buns cold after u leave it out for 3 mins or more so be quick to make them sandwiches while it’s out of the bag
@@willvanry7295 Corey had his videos out first, but he had to remove them for legal reasons, but now he is slowly able to reupload some of his older original videos.
Huh weird at the Wendy's I work at we put two slices of cheese instead of three. Only way we would put the cheese on the bun is if it was a single not a double. Great video mate! Love those who show the love for Wendy's
Back in the day the mustard went on top of the meat patty, and a Double only had one slice of cheese, in the middle, the way Dave intended. We also used to press the meat after turns 1 and 2, and we pattied our own meat in every store, every morning. We also paid a lot more attention to draining the meat so that the bottom bun wasn't soaked in grease. Perhaps most importantly of all, we used iceberg lettuce, as Dave intended. No slimy romaine with a big nasty rib in the middle. Wendy's is still the best fast food burger, but it's not the same.
Five guys if that counts, is better. If not Checkers or Rallys depending on where you live, and whataburger. Wendys is not as good as it was in the 90s
I'm 59yrs old, just got a job at Wendy's in Mesa, Arizona. I start tomorrow morning, so I'm doing my homework. Thanks for the instructional video! Where's your apron? Wendy's Employee's Handbook clearly states that an apron MUST ALWAYS BE WORN when preparing Wendy's menu items!
Wow, When it first started I was just expecting you to have all the ingredients there and make it like a subway sandwich, but there’s a grill right next to it to actually make it!
If you’re gonna make a video about how to make a Dave’s double at least make it right. That is not what the sandwich build card shows you, Unless the customer wants mustard, extra cheese, light spread of Mayo and ketchup
Holy shit that looks exactly like the Wendy’s I worked at in 2012. The screen’s software is newer and the drink machine is newer but the layout is giving me post high school flashbacks hahahahaha
I worked for Wendy's for a year. Extremely miserable time lol. I don't understand how anyone works there. I know people who worked at other ones who experienced the same treatment.
They probably will be losing a lot of employees. People are sick of working these jobs for almost no wage, and assholes telling them they don't deserve to make enough money to pay bills. Lmao.
