New Orleans native Charlie Andrews demonstrates on how to make a Homemade Sweet Potato Pound cake. This cake combines the Sweet Potato pie and the southern pound cake to create another Southern Classic cake you can try for the holidays. This recipe calls for 15 to 20 servings depending on how you slice it, and it is delicious. Hope you all will give this classic pound cake a try.

Charlie, I made about 25 trips to New Orleans with friends helping rebuild after Katrina. We all love Louisiana food. Catfish, red beans and rice, shrimp etoufee, gumbo and bread pudding. I once asked a minister friend in St. Bernard Parish where did he go for some good fish. He said, “I go home”. Never a truer statement for a Bayou life long resident.

One of my favorite cakes. The sweet potato cupcakes are delicious 😋. I make them and fill them with sweet potatoe filling. Top them with homemade cream cheese icing. Eat them warm with a glass of cold milk. This makes the perfect holiday dish. Thank you Charlie 😊

Okay, Charlie... you win. I'm subscribing because I've been watching many of your vids for the past few days, and I enjoy seeing someone who puts their gift to good use.
