How to Make a Sheet Metal Shear for Cheap

In this video I made a table top sheet metal shear from a pair of aviation shears bought from lowes hardware. All you need is a piece of 1/2" steel tubing,1 piece of 1 1/2" x 1/4" flat bar steel and a pair of aviation shears and a welder, then your set. This was a fun and easy project that anyone can do. I made one of these - worked great - two slight mods - had to cut the handle near the plate off since it prevented the plate from going all the way Down 4:30 in the vice. - Also the Rod did not go in far enough and the handle bent - I “boxed “ in the channel handles and that solved the issue
