I’ve been a flameworker for 20 years and I never get tired of making or watching vortexes being made. I love to give them away to little kids because the optical illusion never fails to blow their minds. 🥰
This has by far been my favorite video. As of right now I’m just a collector, but I’m looking to start classes soon. Seeing how much you can accomplish with such a small object is mesmerizing. I look forward to making marbles and pendants to start and watching these videos has really been a great inspiration. Thank you so much.
I've been on the torch for about 3 years now, I'm 23 now and have been watching Dustin make things since I was about 17. I got my first torch experience when I was 19 and I was addicted. Dustin you have helped teach me a lot and I can't thank you enough. I'm cranking out frit pipe and sherlock orders now, I never would've imagined I would be in this industry, so thank you for your content. Takoda is one of my other favorite artists, I will definitely be trying to get in on that workshop. Love your work and thanks for what you do on the daily. 🙏💯🔥
Been on the torch for about 7 months now, gonna join your school when I get the funds. I appreciate you and any artist that takes the time to help the community. Your videos alone have helped me greatly, thank you 🙏
I'm never the one to leave a comment of any kind but dude.. DUDE!!!!!! You have a gift you truly do! Have you ever used any other precious or semi-precious stones, gems, or jewels like you did here with the OPAL? ?OPALS OPAL OAPL !!! THANK YOU
Brother your a insane artist and I love your classes. If anyone hasn't told you which I'm sure you hear all the time but My family and I appreciate the lessons we love glass and love your inventions!
I'm brand new to torch work, only been doing it a month but I absolutely love it and you have taught me everything. I love your videos. Your pieces are just incredible! Keep it up!
Working with glass caught my interest last march as i watch someone in Denver make a Sherlock and i was hooked. Iv been driving a few hours to a studio and taking the 90min classes they have and im about to invest in one of the revere glass starter bundles. Cant return to work for a month due to injury so i have plenty of time to practice marbles. If i had to choose i would pick the marble so i have a visual representation of my goal.
My friend recently started blowing and they helped me finish just a silly triangle with rods but it was so fun and I can't wait to do some more. I mentioned it you on insta already but really thankful for the easily accessible content here. It makes it much easier to test the waters first and I'm hoping to take some of your classes after I finish my coding program at the end of October. All the best pal!
Hey man, I made a vortex marble successfully today! I didn't have any opals but I did my best anyway. I've only been lampworking for a year but thanks to your videos I've finally blew out my own tubes(I thought I couldn't because I didn't have a metal tube tool like you have but I did it without!) I'm so new and without tools but it ain't gonna stop me! I got my torch and kiln and just enough glass to get started. My first pipe is going to be red white and blue but I need a bowlpush to complete it lol oh well. I'll be hitting up mountainglass soon🤣
Fire thanks Dustin for always blessing with knowledge been on the torch about 2 weeks now nonstop got my first torch gtt phantom from mountain glass would love to try some encasing some opals!
Hey dustin i just started blowing glass not even a month ago i’ve been learning really fast with help from your videos. encasing opals would be a really cool next step for me always appreciate the videos and knowledge 🤘🏼
Been blowing glass for just over a year and love your videos man appreciate all the help & I would love to watch you do a fumed implosion honeycomb marble !
Yoooo thanks for answering that with the quickness Dustin!! haha i love how much thought u have in your logo with the numbers being hidden in the Revere name thats so badass!!! definitely a superb answer to my question i honestly thought it was a date i saw 11/04/20 at first hahaha!
I would love to be able to win that Marble! This is my first video I’ve watched of yours. I’m a new glass blower. My buddy who makes some wonderful stuff showed me you.
WOW ! It's so fascinating. Thank you very much for sharing this with us. Once i try to make some glass work. But i burned severly my hand with the rod so i never try it again. But i srill love this art.
Thank you for watching my videos and for appreciating them. You should try making some glass art once again. Its very satisfying. Let me know if you need help.
Marble came out looking amazing, really like the opal in the center. It would be great to see another one of these with multiple opals swirling into the vortex as if the vortex was sucking then in like a black hole.
Wow that was the best marble you made on this channel!!! Can’t wait to start my glassblowing career thanks for helping me learn new stuff all the time!!! Hope I can get a chance to win this amazing piece to add to my collection of marbles
Such a wild process!! I can’t wait to take your courses! Working on getting a kiln and better torch. Then I’ll be ready to work with you. Till then, thank you for all you do with these videos! Much love!
I'm a fairly new glass blower and have been dying to try some opal in casements!!! I love your videos and appreciate all the knowledge you share with us!
New subscriber here. So glad I found you. I LOVE opals! Just wish they were my birthstone. I know they are very soft and easily crack so was surprised when you put one into hot glass *gasps*. Now I know how to make some jewelry with opals and feel confident they won't shatter because you left your warm house and went into the snow. Now just need to add another station in my studio for a glass-blowing set-up. Any tips or suggestions? Thanks.
Loving that mountain glass plants trees with every order. I would love to work with some opals 💓Thanks for the awesome content, I have learned so much from your videos ✌
I’m loving the videos and the Revere classes i have seen a galaxy marble with a shooting star, but I haven’t figured out how to do the shooting star if you know how I love to see a video on that.
I've been wondering how those paisley patterns were made, it's gonna be fun to try it out. I'll need to give opals a shot too at some point. It looked fantastic magnified in the marble like that.
I'd love to make a bunch of marbles and smaller pieces and eventually add some of the best ones to larger pieces as my skills improve, the effect of the opal floating in the vortex is fantastic!
Whoohoo. Dustin. I have been making beads off and on for about 15 years(mostly off) and took a class in Las Vagus awhile back on how to make a glass frog with boro and have bought enough boro rods so now I want to make some glass marbles and some vortex marbles. Dang, you make it look so easy. Also, what do the opals do? I'm am going to try to make a vortex marble very soon, after I buy some opals from Mountain Glass. Thanks for the video and I am definitely going to use Mountain Glass from now on and take a look at some of the online classes. Thanks againl.
Artist always seem so down to earth 🌍 i try i do custom hotwheels and hand detail them which takes time if you do it right but this glass work is on a whole different level
That looks awesome!! Did you have to pop it in the kiln at all while making the marble? Or does it stay hot enough as long as you keep working it since it's solid?
Hey Dustin I was wondering what is your absolute favorite concepts you love to teach/explain/discuss with people whether it be about the business aspects, the tools or equiptment, the processes and techniques or even the emotions you expirence from glass blowing? Also what is your fravorite thing about glassblowing?
A Galaxy Marble demo would be so awesome. Also, if someone wanted to practice do cremation pieces what medium would you recommend they practice with before using human or animal ashes?
hmmm. been doing production dicro vortexes for 5 years now. very different than how i make them, but hey thats the beauty of glass blowing! interesting approach
