Great tutorial! One thing you can do to add saturation is pass the output back into the filter via the external input

Great Video….. I gave it a watch in a spur of the moment realization that a return to fundamentals is always a good thing. Especially when revisited through an explanation sourced from intellect & maturity in ones craft. Sadly at the moment I only use VST synths. I use the Reason Rack, they have Subtractor, Graintable, Modular Synthesis, they really make outstanding products. I also lean on Arturo’s quite heavily, Rob Pappen has some great signature stuff. Synapse Labs. Has some good stuff as well. Plus I have all of Korgs collections. Anyway…. I subscribed so I’m looking forward to the content to one as well as digging through the work you’ve already posted. Thanx brotha!!

Thank you very much, that's very kind and much appreciated. Hope you find other videos you like. I had Reason years ago but had a hiatus from music and didn't revisit. Fan of Arturia and Rob. Not so familiar with Synapse but will check although I have soft synths coming out my ears 😊You should be able to get an 808 in Reason and it may well already have similar presets.

@@IanWaugh you are most welcome, sir. It does seem we’ve uncovered a commonality in our digital music history. I trained myself on Reason 2.5 with no experience but like you had to walk away before Reason 3.0 was released. 16 years later I had the itch again & grabbed reason 12 last summer. Best decision I ever made. The quantum leap digital audio production has underwent is astounding & is the source for much of excitement & has encouraged me to leave the archaic concept of a “Job” in the past where it belongs & too now do the work that brings me peace in a way that generates an income strong enough to support real freedom. & yes indeed Reason has pleanty of 808’s, but knowing how to design them is way cooler than just picking one lol…. All the best…. Looking forward to your next video

@@5iKing I really liked Reason, particularly the wobbling wires 😊 and I'm sure it is now an awesome product but, strangely, it doesn't often appear in my YT feed. I am also heavily invested in other products so will probably never find out. It'd great that you can make a living through music. More power to you 👍

Thank you very much. Yes, another envelope would be useful... 😊

You can create a sine wave by turning all Oscillators off and just turning up the resonance and bringing down the filter to taste Sub 37 is good for that Great vid though ❤

Thank you. There are actually a few ways to do this and more than one 'typical' 808 sound. But it's a start 😊

fr this will kill your subwoofer one day the same with my moog synth R.I.P speakers💀💀😭😭oh god no cap😂😂
