Just home from work and had to watch this video! Love this, I am off to check out the videos of how you made the pockets and tags. The ideas are turning in my head! I would love to make a folder like this using kids book pages with secret hiding spots.

I have the book pages ready to glue together from creating altered book that I'm glueing things into that I like doubling pages glue together only one side then if wanna use in journals can just cut out ...easier to store and find...pulled one page every three pages use them for do large collage page might just use that for making tags first tho. The glue book helping me learn what types glues do and paints etc if go thru paper or bubble ...I make all my own embellishments and text this way too cuz glue magazine pics to other paper improve quality of it ..if get what I mean...learn many good tips from videos...even bout ways cut better with scissors etc...lol.. K I need go clean now. Bye

Just mesmerized by your teaching if I had you fora teacher I would have had straight As+ in Catholic school I remember I loved cutting up words and put sentences together. So many memories thank you I enjoy listening to you also your soothing to my ears. Stay sharp

Paper, scissors, the crinkle sounds, the smooth gloss, old fonts, sketched and water colored pictures..... Don't we all do this "thing" for similar reasons :-) Lovely project, so many applications. Thanks for sharing!! P. S. I like that you use old books and scraps and things. I am not a digital craft person. No judgement for those that like Digi kits, just not my thing.

I never tire of playing with paper. My love affair started early. I remember making paste with water and flour , cutting up newspaper and folding and coloring it. I started this before I went to school. I lived in the country and had few toys. I have always loved paper more than more sophisticated toys. This was an excellent tutorial. The results are lovely. I’m new to junk journaling and have watched hundreds of videos, but yours are far and away the best. You’ve taught me how to shop for old books, and the useful types to get. You’re hints and tips guide me through the process, but also give me the permission and freedom to explore the materials I already have. And your voice is so calming and soothing and reassuring. I love playing with paper too. Tea dying it, the crunchy sound it makes when dry. Gluing scraps and packaging paper together makes me happy. I like the grungeyness and it's a stress buster as there no need to make it perfectly square, just glue it together. Also, I had to rush to eBay and buy the flower book. It's a lovely book. I'll be happy when it arrives, hubby won't...lol...I bought another book to add to the hundreds I have now😁😁😁. Thanks for sharing this tutorial so I can start using up these book pages...Hugs from Arizona...:)

Oh, Joie! I love your folder! It all comes together so beautifully! Your layers are delicious!! I have hesitated to use glossy pages or pages with pictures because I wasn’t quite sure what to do with them. But as I watch your videos and see how you mix so many art mediums and textures and make it all work I’m gaining in confidence and I’m almost ready to try my hand. Keep the inspiration coming!!

I have watched this a half dozen times and keep seeing ideas every time i watch it... Being a mini book and journal maker i am going to incorporate some of your ideas into projects i make... I have even bought some of the beautiful books you have shown and over the next few weeks should be getting beautiful books in the mail. I lived in Bampton Oxford England as a child and my family history, Burton name goes back years in England

It's a very fair question... it's a project to enjoy making if you love playing with paper, and you can fill it with little journaling cards and places to write things. Or with tags and cards...so some people like to make these and give them as a gift, perhaps with some design aspects that are personalised. I LOVE your videos, It is my style, I feel at home . No over the top inking , need and creative. I get my books from World of books, and thriftshops. Birds, insects , botanicals and beautiful illustrated children books are my focus . I buy wayyy too much of them :) But he, its my hobby and makes me happy. There are a lot of people that have more expensive hobbys. :) My super extrem sharp siccors cutting through the paper......my glue .pictures and storys to tell, love it so much.

@@joiedefi oh yes definitely do... Animals as well as most nature related things, love seeing the birds in my garden, so always attracted to books of this type. I love art so using sketch drawing books really adds to the astetic of a project... And thank you for saying so about my channel too.... I really appreciate your support and kind comments. 💕😁🌷

ok i cant stop...lol...thx so much learning lots ....i have stuff everywhere organizing as i go....went thrift shop dollar tree dollarama bought some items needed....still want lots more but improvising when can...dont have punches so created with cardboard handles from boxes ...lol...i could go on n on...so fun im hooked....then i still have continue making my specific subject books and memory books for my kids ....would like make cards too ...will take time make better as i go....thx for your videos...nice work you do...

@@joiedefi it's coming together I have two journals all planned out and pinned together..I made pockets and tags ahead of time had organize a lot items . Had pull items from everywhere I found ways improvise ... Spent alot time . I love it tho...but will take alot more time to get really good at it..detailed ...I'm trying not get too much into the extra artwork can add once it's together and do Art journaling further ...I've added alot tho..later wanna add affirmations and more art onto basic pics I liked added...I found some brown eyebrow paste stuff in make up used as distress ink a bit bingo Dabbers added neat color for collage and tags ...I have alot types paper tea died some have text neat embellishment things collected from magazines etc. . Made glue book too ....and I had couple photo albums adding items so easy find use.. I have so much stuff that carries into other craft interests too....ya..I'm talk too much...lol..thx joie . .learning alot ...happy trails

Joie, I simply have to try this, abandoning everything else I need to do for a little while! By the time I finish, I'll know your voice-over by heart because I'll need the instructions over and over! So I am really glad you make your videos artistically and professionally, without chit chat and uhms and ahhs. That kind of "informality" gets so old on repetition!
