How to Make an FNF Mod Character | Adobe Animate and Psych Engine 

When I get a school break, I'll definitely go watch through all of these videos and try to do something, thank you so much for doing these videos to help people who don't really understand how to create mods, you're amazing!

for anyone who wants the character to bop on beat you have to make the idle animation 14 frames long and have the head go down on the 1st frame and go back up

hey guy, in case you are wondering... Yes you can make the pieces in another App, just make sure to save it in PSD and to have each piece in a separate layer. also dont worry about extra stuff in the document, as you can check on and off the layers you want to add and you dont need to do this step of turning it into a symbol but i would still suggest doing it (and setting as graphic) as it saves as solid images (you wont be able to tween if you don't) the rest is simple, animate that bad boi

17:16 if when you export the character and it didn't create a XML file you need to set the data format to "Sparrow v2"

27:55 actually, thats not the case for psych engine. I think it takes one half of the canvas and puts that as the first icon, and the other half as the losing icon. I’ve drawn some pretty big icons before and they worked just fine

Thanks a lot for these tutorials, made dipping my toes into this a bit less daunting lol Also, advice for anyone else using Flash CS6: The spritesheet generator is outdated, so you have to open the generated png in another program and re-export it, as well as create a new xml file and paste what was in the generated one into it (ALSO, change "UTF-16" to "utf-8".)

Now all I need is to get my greedy little mits on that program/electronic that lets the blind draw digitally. Thanks so much for explaining this in such simple terms. Even though I can’t see what’s happening, it feels like I can ❤

I know the sprites will overlap if you make the sprite bigger than Dearest, but even though you *should* use e.g. pico if you're making a smaller character, would it matter if you made a shorter character over Dearest?

Another thing is that when in the character editor, there is a button that says "Get Icon Color." Press it and it will change the health bar color to the color it detects.

Hey nice tutorial it helped me a lot but I was wondering if there is a way to make the sprites on the sprite sheet a higher resolution because it looks clean and high quality on the adobe animate but when I export it and add it to the game it looks kinda blurry

When i try to reload image with my character sprite it crash i tried to replace .xml file with dads one, its worked what should i do if my .xml file causing crash?

EVERYONE!! If you are having trouble placing your character in the song, it's not you. It's the PSYCH ENGINE VERSION. I had to downgrade from 0.7.3 TO 0.5.1 In this version, it worked just fine for me

hi so i followed your tutorial it seems to work for other people but its not working for me i mean the first part is good but for some reason when i go to map the poses its not working, it wont update the poses. i named everything correctly, i spelled everything correctly, i clicked the correct poses and updated them but it just wont update it keeps saying error for some reason. now i am using an XML generator so idk if that has anything to do with it, and my character has one frame of animation for every pose (this is my first time doing this and i didnt feel like animating yet) so idk if thats also a problem i did try it with more frames but still didnt work. i know your using adobe animate so idk if you can help me but if you can please or just anyone reading the comments.

It's not working. It kept saying error when I try to reload the image. I'm doing everything it says and nothing works. Is it because it's lacking frames? Is it because it's to many frames? I'm so confused

I've ran Into a problem. My character, Millie wont go into her idle animation when I do exactly what you do when you loaded Tutorialguy's Idle. I need Help. Edit: Millie goes into her idle animation but her idle animation is also used for you Left, Up Down, and Right animations.
