But I can’t for the life of me, figure out how many chains to start with, where to insert the first double crochet and how to make them look so perfectly separated at the sides of the work. I’ve seen other videos and they make bobbles right are the border or one stitch in only and I don’t like that look. Could you please explain the count you used? Thanks!

I’m working on Minnie Mouse’s skirt right now, following this pattern (red with white bobbles) and the white is really poking through. Am I doing something obviously wrong? It’s been suggested that I cut/weave at each bobble but it seems like there should be an easier solution than that. ;-)

does each row of white bobble have lose ends at each side? or how are you doing the turning chain with the contrasting color?
