Lol the way they’re looking at you when you’re filling the crock pot. 💚

Really good job on the video, probably one of the best videos out there, even aside from canine nutrients; you’re direct, articulate, perfect audio capture, and no annoying background music. Really helpful for me to learn for my pup, thank you for sharing how to make bone broth and for doing such a great job on the video!!!

Thanks for the tips on how to know when it is done. I have been making bone broth for a while now and I think I have been under cooking it (only 24hrs). Next time you make this, keep the fat once it has cooled!! It is a really good oil to use when you are cooking steak for yourself, the flavour is amazing and the smoke point is really high. I usually remelt the fat and freeze it in silicone ice cube trays to use as needed when i am cooking.

Oh that’s a great idea, I’ll have to give that a try! Sounds like it’d be delicious haha

Every time I look at this video, I think to myself these the healthiest looking dog coats I’ve ever seen. It’s got to be the food that they eat

Thank you for your video. Your pups are adorable! How might you incorporate the bone broth in a treat form?

What I like to do is make my own dog food often I start with a chicken and I cook it in mineral water. When the chicken is finished I keep the water the chicken was cooked in, add back the chicken bones and skin. I also add some beef bones to make the bone broth, I make the bone broth in the normal way but I also add egg shell calcium to the water. I then take the bone broth and freeze most of it in ice cube bags. But I don't drink the bone broth. When needed I take the ice cube bags out of the freezer 250 ml add 3 leaves of gelatin and gell it in the normal way. Me and my dog share the gelatin that I mix in her food. So we have the benefits of the mineral water with extra calcium bone broth with the extra gelatin.

Wow! my recipe from Dr. Judy Morgan called for 6 quarts of water per 3-4 beef marrow bones. I have a double batch on the stove, so that's about 48 cups! I'm about 18 hours in and I'm a bit pissed off it might be too much water!

My dad used to make this for our dogs everynight in our kitchen, it would always stink up the whole house until one day he fell asleep while making it and burnt down our kitchen, my mother still has respiratory problems from the smoke inhalation

Hi thank you for your very informative videos. Could you advise me please, I'm getting an 8 week old puppy, which is currently having partial kibble and partial mom's milk at the breeder. I don't know what to start feeding her when I bring her home at 8 weeks? Any suggestions, dont know if a puppy applies to your other videos about raw diet.

Thank you for this recipe. I'll be making this for my furbabies. Silly question lol. How do you feed it to them? Mixed in with the dry dog food?
@nhvnaturalpet
@nhvnaturalpet 4 года назад
We give the bone broth directly into a bowl and they lap it up! But you can also just add it in with dry food so they'll get a full meal and all the nutrients from the broth
@iguana580
@iguana580 3 года назад
Yep you can do that with kibble but I would always recommend raw over anything

can you use this broth with a 16 year with apple cider vinegar
@OhFeeney
@OhFeeney 5 лет назад
Can you give the dogs the broth just in its gel form? I have been reheating it so it goes back to liquid form, and they enjoy it added to their food that way. But if I can just spoon chunks of the gel on top of their meals that would be nice too.
@TheOtherParker

I feed my dogs the gel, that’s just fine!

I boiled chicken, pork ribs and turkey bones in a pressure cooker for just 2 hours. The broth jelled up really well! The bones I dried and ground into bone meal as fertilizer, (lots of good phosphorus), but could have added the powdered bones to the dogs broth?
@pw6896
@pw6896 7 месяцев назад
If it's ground into power yes, but a lot of the nutrients are missing, they are in the bone both. But it won't hurt ( as long as it's power).

How long does the bome broth stay good for if we put it in an air tight container in the refrigerator?

When cooking bones for broth it okay to mix pork, beef, and chicken all together? That's good to know I have my first crock of chicken feet and after I pull the meat off the whole chicken I'll add the sken and bones to it. But if they mix well next time I'll get a mix of bones. Thank You.
@TheOtherParker
@TheOtherParker 6 лет назад
Yes you can mix them all together, I often do! I cook 2-3 days any time I used beef/pork bones; the chicken bones are so soft by the end they can be smashed with a fork!
@mltenhove8035
@mltenhove8035 4 года назад
How often do you give them this? Daily?
@durdicamac9662
@durdicamac9662 4 года назад
Fat is good for them, calories are just a calories...20-30% is ideal, up to 50% is ok. But you feed them less because high calories in fat.

How much time do you recommend for an instant pot?
@TheOtherParker
@TheOtherParker 5 лет назад
I haven’t used one for bone broth yet, but I believe it only takes 2-3 hours!
@rsmith2916
@rsmith2916 5 лет назад
I’ve seen videos that bake the bones first before putting them in the crockpot. Wouldn’t that take away from the nutrients?
@TheOtherParker
@TheOtherParker 5 лет назад
Roasting the bones is mainly done for flavor, so it’s ideal if people will be consuming the broth. For dogs I usually just skip the extra step, and yeah I’d imagine sticking with low temperature cooking preserves more nutrients

if the bones still have meat on them do u add it back after its been strained or throw it

Ethnic markets! They’re a goldmine for raw feeders. If you don’t have any in your area, a butcher might be able to hook you up too.

Does the viniger bother your dog
@TheOtherParker
@TheOtherParker 5 лет назад
Nope! It’s very little compared to the total amount of liquid, so it doesn’t affect taste too much or make it very acidic
