I have two dogs Beaker, a three year old lab mix, and Kodiak, a two year old GSD/malamute mix, that have changed my life for the better. Could your dogs take down a bison? Dogs aren't wolves. They have been eating high carb diets for thousands of generations. Meat was too valuable to our ancestors to feed to the dogs
I'm just starting and I really need good tips I have a 6 year old jackiechan German shepherd Doberman lab mix and 2 year old Jasper lab retriever husky German shepherd mix and 11 month old jazzy kuvasz and maremma mix and 4 month old java Akita German shepherd chow chow mix and I would like to prepare them ahead of time and feed them the right amount please help me out with information
I have a shih tzu and he is the pickyest dog I’ve ever had he weighs 15 lbs. and is 21 mo old and he has A.gland problems l have to do his gland every month my groomer showed me how to do it,l just don’t know what to feed this boy anymore.
No kibble is really good….perhaps do some more research. No good for the skin either. You have to be careful when you read reviews! If you look at doctor jones videos you will get the correct advice.
Kibble is no good to dogs….causes many other problems. It certainly wouldn’t help with anal gland issues. Fibre can be obtained by fresh fruit and veg…..! Anal gland problems can also be due to allergens or sometimes a growth which both cause scooting.. So you need to find out the cause first. Sweat potatoes are no good to dogs…..they do not need carbohydrates. Raw diet with fresh fruit and veg is best. Dry biscuits are no good and not a natural diet.

I am researching the raw food diet just as you are. According to Dr. Judy Morgan DVM and she's also a nutritionalist raw egg is no good for your dog. She states that the egg white destroys other vitamins and minerals that's in your dogs food. Once cooked it doesn't happen. So just a heads up. The price of raw feeding isn't cheap and to find that your raw eggs are sabotaging their meal is so disheartening. You can find Dr. Morgan on you tube under her name. She's an awesome vet. Also please be careful mixing raw with kibble as it will put their digestive enzymes and digestive system into overdrive as they digest at different rates. Her videos are very educational.
My dad used to make this for our dogs everynight in our kitchen, it would always stink up the whole house until one day he fell asleep while making it and burnt down our kitchen, my mother still has respiratory problems from the smoke inhalation

My dog love banana and carrots so I give that occasionally and then I make cubes of so many different things. Just bone broth cubes, veggies mix cubes, liver+chicken cubes, sardine spinach cubes, pumpkin+bone broth cubes, frozen raspberries whenever I remember to give them out lol. I also give my dog with digestive problems a daily proviable (probiotic) and they love it! I love adding things to supplement and treat them to something different
i can not get my dog to even try half the items you give your dogs! so frustrating, and she's been raw fed since she was 8 weeks old, 2 years now. pickyest eater ever!
where did you get the information about northern breeds and zinc? i read it in one place and haven't heard it again until you mentioned it. i have a husky/malamute mix so i'd really like to get to the source of that information to supplement her properly. thanks!
I don't know where they got the information about the zinc absorption issues, but I do recommend checking out The Primal Pack here on RU-vid if you have any other questions about supplementing your pet's food.
I boiled chicken, pork ribs and turkey bones in a pressure cooker for just 2 hours. The broth jelled up really well! The bones I dried and ground into bone meal as fertilizer, (lots of good phosphorus), but could have added the powdered bones to the dogs broth?
4 years later... how are the dogs doing health wise? As a certified k9 nutritionist who's been feeding raw for 20yrs, you're doing a wonderful job! Your explanations are great and really make things simple for new raw feeders.

Looking at the amount of food.. Im jealous!! I wish i had small dogs! I have 4 Rottweiler's, they eat almost 4lbs a day each!! Storing and prepping for big dogs is hard! I notice this video is 5 years ago... How are the dogs now? Hows there health been on a raw diet?
Wow! my recipe from Dr. Judy Morgan called for 6 quarts of water per 3-4 beef marrow bones. I have a double batch on the stove, so that's about 48 cups! I'm about 18 hours in and I'm a bit pissed off it might be too much water!
One of the best examples of a raw diet ive seen from a youtuber in a long time. Only thing i would change is instead of chicken thigh id give leg quarters. Much more bone and excelpent calcium to meat ratio
Great video. With Blendtec >1 year dogs have not rejected any meals..i puree veggies mostly all the time. Elder dogs Vet said 70% veggies helps kidneys ..for my elderly dogs Example. Little Pekapoo had high liver values in bloodwprk when I gave too many liver organs cuz he loved it!
Unfortunately Amazon is actually more expensive now than at Petco (which is always expensive) due to them saying its $2 less but making the minimum order amount 2 bottles. Amazon is saying its $11.85 when their regular price is $13.99 which is also what it is at petco but amazon makes you buy 2 bottles at minimum. S0 that's over $23 with tax lol
Yes, as long as you don’t starve them (store them without milk to feed on). If you are going to be away, follow her advice in the video for freezing them. Then when u return, thaw them and start all over again.
