How to Make Buffalo Sauce the Wingsource way! We show you how to make buffalo sauce our favourite hot sauce from start to finish - easier than you think!

This is our fav tasty buffalo sauce recipe that we use on our Wingsource videos :)

You will need:
►Bowl
►Whisk
►Saucepan
►Base Sauce
►Chilli Flakes
►Cayenne Powder
►Butter
►Minced Garlic
Method:
1) In a bowl add bottle (148ml) Franks Red Hot Sauce
2) Add 1x teaspoon Cayenne Powder - or more for more heat!
3) Add 1x teaspoon Chill Flakes
4) Add 1x teaspoon Minced Garlic
5) Add 1x tablespoon Butter
6) Whisk until butter broken down and combined
7) Put mixture into saucepan
8) Cook over medium heat, whisk to combine. 5-10 minutes
9) Add still warm sauce to cooked wings
10) Combine

Pro tip add some onions and honey. Honey doesn't sound like it would be good but if you use the right amount it helps the sauce stick to the wings without giving that sweet taste. You'll thank me later.

Highly recommend melting butter first, then brown garlic for a minute, then add the rest. You can taste the difference!

I suggest a bit of honey to thicken and help the wings crisp up. If you love heat add a little bit of ghost pepper sauce at the end.

Sounds simple enough, and I have all the ingredients. I buy the Frank's hot sauce from Sam's Club in the huge jugs because I put it on everything. Much cheaper that way. Thanks for the recipe!

Add a little Worcestershire sauce. I'm a cook in the Buffalo area. I use it in my recipe, it makes a world of difference. I make it by the gallon and use about 1 cup.

I bought a $25 pack of chicken breast pre-cut into fingers, and then breaded them all and deep fried them. It was the best decision ever because it made this massive container of chicken fingers and now I am experimenting with dipping sauces. Basically imagine you had like 30 chicken fingers ready to re-heat. The sky appears to be the limit.

...my wife chops up habenero (Scotch bonnet) peppers...really fine...and I add a bunch to my bottle of Frank's sauce...makes it nice n' hot when you letr it set in the fridge for at least a few days...

This is a good recipe usually now I make my own from scratch pretty much and I love it the longer I let it ferment the better usually let it for a little over a week and keep the brine and use oil cooked with garlic and white vinegar and a bit of cayenne pepper sometimes a pinch of something sweet and it is great

rice vinegar is great with this in small amounts. Adds a bit of tang to the spice since rice vinegar is already kinda sweet.

I don't think I've ever seen a bottle of Franks that small. Reminds me of those little bottles of booze you get on airlines. Thanks for the recipe mate! I've never added garlic, but I smoked & roasted some a couple days ago, so I'll be trying it. One note? The chicken skin stays crispy if you serve the sauce on the side as a dipping sauce.

I was so addicted to one fast food restrnts wing sauce, I tried for 18 years to replicate it. Yes, most of his Ingredients go in mine. Two essential ingredients completely solved my quest for the holy grail. His butter is not necessary, but chicken stock or bullion is instead. The biggest difference is that he does not start with a ruoux or gravy made from browning flour or corn starch (15 / 18 years of hard knocks). Brown the flour with no other Ingredients not even water, grease, or oil. When light brown add flour which turns out grainy at first or corn starch. From there add cayenne, Frank's, garlic, anything your little heart desires. Voila.

use any cayenne hot sauce (aged preferred). Sriracha is based on red jalapeno, different taste the thickness of the sauce too.

Pro tip: i like to mix in a bowl then a glass bowl then a copper lined bowl then a wooden bowl then a fish bowl all the while switching from a blender to a whisk then back to a different sized blender a fork and 7 different spoons. Then I finally put it in a cupcake pan to whisk with a tiny whisk, then pour it back into a bowl, then finally strain withe the largest colander money can buy into a sauce pan and whisk over heat.

I didn’t have any of the correct ingredients or any way to measure it but using chilly powder crushed red peppers garlic powder tabasco sauce and butter I made something amazing. Then I added some water to make it go further and kinda ruined it so I added more crushed red peppers and some mild sauce from Taco Bell and I made it slightly better. Very good and would recommend my way 100% and will make mine my own way. It was damn good I just need to not use as much water. Thanks your tutorial helped me make something different but still very good

i am able to make buffalo sauce out of coca cola but it never gets as good as other buffalo sauces. can you make any suggestions. i use cholula hot sause, butter, and coca cola

Just use one part hot sauce to one part butter for mild. two parts sauce to one part butter for Medium and so forth you don’t need the rest of the ingredients

Here is the original (authentic) buffalo wing sauce I copied down about 35 years ago from a day time talk show with two guys claiming to have invented wings where wings were invented in 1964 (the owner of the Anchor Bar is the legit inventor) . I bet I've made this a 1000 times and it still beats the snot out of anything made with Franks Buffalo wing sauce 1 stick (4 oz) butter 1 tblsp onion powder (not onion salt) 1 tblsp garlic powder (not garlic salt) 1 tblsp chili powder (hot or mild, depending on the heat desired) 14 oz of HUNTS or HEINZ ketchup (more or less depending on how thick you want it) 1/4 cup lemon juice 8-12 oz tabasco sauce (more/less for taste/bite) Melt butter in pan. Add Onion, garlic and chili powder. Stir well. Add Ketchup and stir. Add lemon juice and tabasco. Warm. Do NOT let boil. Pat wings dry and deep fry 'naked' in 350 deg oil for 8-10 min. Drain. Toss wings in sauce. Note: the only 'variables' are how much ketchup & Tabasco used. More ketchup and it's thicker but starts to become too tomatoey. Obviously adjust the Tabasco for how hot you want it. I've discovered heat 'kills' Tabasco heat thus the 'do NOT boil'. The Chili powder adds the deep, back of mouth/throat burn whereas the Tabasco is front of mouth/tongue/lip burn. Finally you can substitute different vinegar for the lemon juice for the acid (tartness). I sometimes use infused vinegar (lemon, tarragon or garlic infused vinegar) just to be different sometimes.

Subway is disgusting, it's like 3d printed fake meat. If you make it homemade it won't taste anything like subway because it will be good and actually real food
