Your voice sounds 🌷so nice on the voice over. You always give good tips and multiple ways of prepping. Good to remove the string from the middle. I like your green chopping board and dehydrator. Watching in full. I like your non waste ethic. Me2 i strive for that.
I love this, I'm from Uganda and from my part of the country, cassava flour is our staple food and how we prepare it is different, we peel the cover off, put the cassava under the sun for a few hours, put them in the house and totally cover them so they can take a few days to ferment, then we wash them, pound them and put under the sun to dry for days and after than grind, it takes days but it's worth the wait, that's what we grew up eating and i love it
@norakat The part of Uganda where i come from, we mostly grow bitter cassava for this, we grow sweet one as well but not for this purpose so the reason why it has to ferment is reduce the cynide content to acceptable limits and also eliminate food borne pathogens making it safe for human consumption.
@@charityopika3429 - Thats interesting. Why would you intentionally grow bitter cassava when you can grow sweet ones? Do they look the same? I purchased cassava that was bitter before, maybe it was the bitter variety.
@@norakat I don't know why my people chose to grow the bitter variety. But that's just it from the time I was a little girl. But personally I don't like the taste of sweet cassava unless I boil it and eat with any soup
My husband will always say go and see Sweet Adjeley and learn how she does every possible thing not to waste anything. It is still another great tutorial that resonates with your knowledge of African kitchen traditions. The result is that you know what you eat, that it is original cassava. Good one, the one, and only Continental food Madam.
Thank you! I enjoyed your video and learned a lot. My cassava got eaten by wild pigs this year. I'll plant more.. cassava is still 'new' to Hawaii. Also.. started dancing... the music was so good.
From the Caribbean & years eating Yuca but never crossed my mind to make Flour! A Ghana Lady had to teach me. The Taino Indians used pounding board to make Yuca as fine as posible. Thank You!
I love the grating method sweet, The crunchy sound when you are adding it to the blender shows it’s completely dried. Look at the beautiful flour, homemade is the best Thanks for showing us sweetie

Sweet this bankye is very fresh. The crating is awesome. Sweet this hydrator is everything. The blended one option is not bad at all, I love the texture and the outcome after dehydration, then blending into the powdery consistency is superb. Oh my days, seiving with the fine strainer moves the game into levels. No waste, I love the grinder option. Well done Sweetie. Lots of love
Just wondering if you have to cook the cassava before you eat it. Do you have to cook the cassava before making flour from it or does the drying process get rid of the cyanide?? Very interested in your answer😊😊
I just love all your recipes and your styles. They are so easy to follow. I'm rating you 10 out of 10 👌👌 By the way sis, what can we use our tapioca/cassava flour for? Thank you.
