Thanks! I have a project that just needs buttons and I was putting it off because I wasn't sure how to do it. This is way more simple than I thought, so thanks a lot for the motivation!
Our fabric is thicker, any suggestions on how to make the 2nd style work. They don't even seem to want to work without the material, and they pop undone when we used some black satiny material. Firstly it's almost impossible to get the motors teeth to catch on 2 sides without the first side releasing. Perhaps the ones available in Australia, as it's often the case, are cheap Chinese copies of the original design and don't work properly. But I just tried soon printed cotton quilting style fabric as well, so no luck getting them to click in. Would be interested in getting the other style but really wanted to finish this task this week!! I wish I could upload photos here!!
