How to Make Cute Shiba Inu Cookies - Easy Recipe 

Learn how to make cute Shiba Inu cookies with this easy cookie recipe. You can add a little bit of color variation without dyes or artificial colors by using this egg wash technique before baking.
RECIPE
Sable Cookies
• 125g all-purpose flour
• 45 grams powdered sugar
• 85g salted butter (I like Kerrygold for this recipe)
• 1 large egg yolk (about 18g)
• 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Egg Wash
• 1 large egg
• 1 tsp water
Decoration
• Chocolate
• White chocolate
1. In a small bowl, whisk together flour and powdered sugar.
2. In another bowl, cream the butter. Then add half of the flour and sugar mixture and stir until just combined.
3. Add the remaining half of the flour and sugar mixture and stir until there are no more white streaks. Your dough will be crumbly.
4. Add egg yolk and vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
5. Form the dough into a smooth dough and place between two sheets of parchment paper. Use a rolling pin to roll the dough to 1/4" thickness (about 6cm).
6. Chill dough in refrigerator for 20 minutes or until firm.
7. In a small bowl, whisk together egg and water to make the egg wash.
8. Use a cookie cutter to cut your shapes out of the sheet of chilled dough. Place each cookie about 1" apart on a parchment-lined baking pan.
9. Use a small cake decorating brush to paint a generous layer of egg wash onto the top half of each cookie.
10. Cut small circles out of the chilled dough and place in the center of each cookie.
11. Bake the cookies at 350F for about 12 minutes.
12. Let cookies cool completely, then decorate with melted chocolate.
