I'm 2 1/2 hours away from a TLM. Not everyone can go to a TLM. Not everyone has one near them plus now they're few. I have a reverent NO near me. I can only do what I can. My NO priest gets knives thrown at him when he speaks the truth. The bishop has tried to silence him several times and refuses. I support him.

What joyful hope I have listening to all of you talented and faithful young gentleman. People are starving for good Catholic Art, films in particular. God provides. There is a fire in my belly for and my filmmaker husband to fill this need for God's people and His Church in a way that may also provide for our families and other families with this same desire. I, being an "Ancient Methane Generator," remember the bulletin board just inside the Church doors that contained the weekly listings from the "Legion Of Decency." Parishioners relied on this posting to avoid dangerous movies. And Hollywood paid attention, too, because if the Legion of Decency said a movie was a 'no-go,' Catholics across the country would stay away, and the studio would lose a truckload of money. Unfortunately the LoD was done away with even before the close of the Robber Council. I don't foresee Francis the Last or the USCHCB bringing it back.

We have several black families in our TLM parish. Do you think they can't understand or appreciate the Latin Mass?

The new Mass and sacraments are a different religion, teaching different doctrine. The true faith and liturgy is one of mystical asceticism, and the Mass should be Calvary, period! St Johns Apocalypse gives us the example of the eternal liturgy that ours should mirror.

The Anglicans already tried to have a copycat Mass. But their theology was heretical and so their Mass was too.

Fr. Stu was an excellent movie. It was a true story, so his past life before he had a mystical experience and converted was included.

However, if you're going to engage others' ideas, you should do so honestly and charitably - actually present their views as they themselves present them and not as a strawman fallacy. Take it a step further like St. Thomas Aquinas and even make their position better before arguing against it.

Along with Greek and Hebrew, Latin was a fixed to the cross. It is therefore a sacred language and thus the language of the Church.
