Ghanaian green pepper sauce - shito (Kpakoshito sauce) is made using green peppers and other green vegetables, ginger, garlic and onions with a few add ons. It can be hot ( pepperish) and spicy and not for the faint at heat. This is currently the most requested and served side sauce or dip in Ghana right now.
INGREDIENTS:
10 big kpakotoshito/ use green scotch bonnet or green habanero pepper
9 green chilli - optional
1 large chopped green bell pepper seeds
4 cloves garlic
Thumb size ginger - skin removed and chopped
1 tablespoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon black pepper- optional
1 large onion chopped
4-5 spring onions chopped
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 bay leaf- optional
1 tbs seasoning powder of choice- 1 small chicken stock cube
1-2 adobo seasoning for vegan option
Salt to taste
