I gave it a try. My granddaughter's Doctor said mix the oil with the medication she subscribed, to clear up my granddaughters eczema and it worked. The medication alone did not work.
i’m glad to hear that! This is the most used homemade product we have in the house! I even put drops of this in my bath, and I even mix it with castor oil and apply it to my entire body once a week. It does wonders!
I don’t have this flower on hand. Can I start to grow this flower from seed now? Or wait to grow outside? I live in Chicago, zone 6. What other flowers do you recommend for this process? Thanks!
you can do this with any plant that holds medicinal values. We’ve been learning about this for the past two years, there are so many plants you can do this with. My suggestion would be to look online, or get a few books that talk about medicinal plants within our region. You can start calendula from seed, but I wouldn’t start them yet, they are quick to germinate. you can seed them early April to have them for your garden by the second or third week of May. You can also directly seed them into the garden.
I have a jar I filled a few months ago that i totally forgot about and have not strained. Do you think it is still safe to use as long as my extra virgin olive oil I used does not smell rancid? Or should I toss this one and start again this year just to be safe? The flowers have probably been in the oil for 5 months…. OOPS!
