Learn how to make Grandma Alice's Penang Jiu Hu Char! This is a great filling for Pie Tee and even Spring Rolls (Popiah)! Give it a try!
Ingredients (One Family Pot Size)
400g Jicama/ Yambean (SENGKUANG)
1 Cabbage Head
80g Black Fungus (Soaked)
1 Chicken Breast (Shredded)
1 Packet Dried Cuttlefish (Soaked)
1 Carrot (Shredded)
1 Cup of Prawns
2 tsp Mushroom Seasoning
2 tsp Salt
Soy sauce to taste
2 tsp of minced garlic
2 tablespoons of Cooking oil

Yes, every Penangite eats this dish for CNY. I still remember watching my auntie and my mom doing all the cutting work on new year eve when I was a kid.

Hi Ann! I use Natural Brewed X.O Sauce. You can find it in the grocery store or mini markets !
