Terry, thanks for the excellent video! What a nifty gift idea, and not just for Christmas! The packaging ideas are super nice, too. They really make the soaps look as special as they are, if you know what I mean. 💝🎁 Hope you and Mr. Soapy have a great weekend! Don't work too hard-- work is a four letter word, you know. So is hard. Fun is a three letter word. Let's go for that, instead! Glad we sorted all that out! It was touch and go for a second there. Looking forward , as always, to your next FUN video! 👋!

Thanks, my friend! Trying hard not to work, LOL- not going very well! Luckily, the soap part of my work, IS fun, so there's that. 🤣 In all seriousness, taking lots of little breaks. 🥰

Wow! Your soaps look amazing ❤ Thank you for sharing these techniques 🙏 I was wondering if you sprayed any rubbing alcohol? And if so... at what stages?
@msTsoap
@msTsoap 9 месяцев назад
Thank you! Yes, I do spray with alcohol, but there is one time in this technique where you CAN'T spray without ruining the design. I spray when I pour the first layer, to eliminate bubbles. Once you dry brush the mica in, though- you can't spray before adding the black layer. I pour it a little hotter than I normally would to help it adhere, since normally I would be spritzing to help it adhere. Once the black has been poured and thoroughly covers the mica, you can gently spray to remove bubbles. I wasn't very good at explaining this technique this time, so you may want to go back to my first video on this technique, NOT Resin Soaps, as I explain it in a little more detail. Great question and thank you! ❤❤❤

I’ve been trying to go back & watch all of your fun ideas, etc. Love these videos. Can you tell me/us how you premix your TD and your activated charcoal so it’s ready for use & I don’t have to do it each time. I don’t know if there are specific measurements. thanks !!

@msTsoap 8 месяцев назад
Sure! 🥰I'm not too specific about measurements, more like an estimated ratio. I use vegetable glycerin and charcoal/TD. I approximate TD at about 1:1 but if it's too thick after stirring well, I add a touch more glycerin. The charcoal I estimate more like 2:1 doubling the glycerin. I sometimes get away with a little less than double the glycerin. It's all about the viscosity vs the opacity. I want them as opaque or saturated as I can get, while still being able to easily squeeze/pour from a condiment bottle. The charcoal makes more of a paste at a 1:1 ratio, which is why I add a bit more glycerin. If I need supersaturated charcoal, I occasionally add it like mica, dispersed in alcohol instead. I do love the convenience, though. There are some who disperse their mica in glycerin, too. Alcohol is cheaper, so I tend to stick with that. 😁Thank you for watching! 🙂🥰❤

So pretty Terry, how would you wrap those? (Package)
@msTsoap
@msTsoap 8 месяцев назад
I wrapped them in cling wrap, put real ribbon on the two soaps that don't have the soap ribbon, and put them in a gift box together. There may be a picture of it in the community posts- if not, I'll add one! Great question! ❤😊
