You should probably use a whole snap swivel instead of just a snap thats if use bucktails a lot, I don't use them much anymore, Spencer Berman wins tournaments by just using bulldawgs and big rubber. I still cast a bucktail everyone once and while, get a little line twist, but yes I should have a designated rod with a leader using a snap swivel, very good point. I heard Spencer put 20+ musky in the boat one day in the fall years ago just using a bulldawg, thats more musky than some people catch in a year.
