Your using the wrong snaps then mate, stay lok snaps only. If u find u fight a fish at it has opened, put a split ring at the clip point of the bait

Sorry we've been away from RU-vid for a bit. If you are casting the cranks you probably wouldn't have to. Some smaller cranks run better without just because the swivel adds extra weight to the setup and can throw off some of the little cranks.

Joe Fish, if you are on a budget you cannot go wrong with a Solid Wire 12 inch leader (ST174). That will cover you on most general Musky Fishing applications with your average sized Musky Lures, and get the job done at the least expensive price pretty much year round. For trolling applications I would go with a 90# 36" Coated Wire leader (ST090C) Also going to be the least expensive and work well with most any lure out there. The longer length and coated wire helps protect the fish if it were to happen to roll up in your line or leader as well as prevent being cut off. I hope this helps, Thank You, John / Stealth Tackle

Bucktails and tail rotating top water would be swivel for sure. Many others would be personal choice. We kinda felt like this video was getting long and the subject matter is important but not very exciting. We do have John Bette with Stealth Tackle on our podcast every 3 months or so and cover topics like this when he's on. Good Luck fishing

+John Eaton not necessarily. We recommend different leaders based on the bait you are using and what your preference is. If you are using a glide bait or rattle bait a fluorocarbon leader isn't your best option. If you are throwing a bulldawg most anglers use a fluorocarbon or the stranded leader. The size and weight of your bait would usually require a higher pound test on your leader choice. I hope this helps.

John, some people do not like or are not comfortable using Fluorocarbon so that is when you could use the Stranded Wire as an alternative so that you still have a flexible leader. Thank You, John Bette / Stealth Tackle
