What is the 'nub' (smallest option) on the reel seat? Who makes it?
@EternalAngler
@EternalAngler 13 дней назад
This is the Chaos 20 20 Rods in the revolution reel seat, there's three diferent handles it comes with the rod in the package, all are included. I honestly don't like the smallest option, little trigger because the tip of the threads are plastic versus metal on the two other ones, hopefully they can fix that. But there's a bunch of other companies aftermarket wise that you can try as well too not just the handles included chaostackle.com/products/assault-stick-20-20-rods?variant=39978793238602

Now I'd say Fifish V6 Expert or Evo, QYSEA has done a lot better sealing off their thruster motors compared to Chasing Innovation, loving my V6 Expert. Any time I'm near the bottom with the V6 Expert, the sand and gravel just isn't getting sucked in the motors as much as the M2. After QYSEA did an update to allow custom controls with the claw, controls are a lot easier for me. Still, can't go wrong with the Chasing M2 though, very precise with the claw with the curved power linear setting ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nApcCRUxKKg.htmlsi=IDe6evn2YCIz85Zf&t=145, and I do like having multiple batteries. I have yet to mess with the controls on the V6 Expert to do a similar curve linear setting to make the claw more precise. They're both great underwater drones, but if I had a choice probably go with the EVO as of now for best bang for the buck with a claw. Still love Chasing Innovation though and love my Chasing M2, looking forward to getting out with "both" once I install Garmin Livescope and Humminbird Mega360 on my boat for treasure hunting and musky fishing!

@EternalAngler 6 дней назад
@@user-vy5qx1xq5b That sucks, do you use it in saltwater, sometimes the corrosive salt eats away at the rubber gaskets, then water gets in. Shouldn't be too hard taking the V6 Expert and putting it back together, be sure to ask on forum underwaterdroneforum.com, the facebook group facebook.com/groups/fifishunderwaterdrones/, or even support through QYSEA www.qysea.com/support/ When I get a chance, I'll see if I can find a take-apart video on youtube, sometimes you have to use particular keywords and the filter to help find you certain videos. But sometimes its good to record where each part goes and take photos as you take an electronic apart, then it's easier to put back together. I've taken apart the Chasing M2 a little, as well as the Geneinno T1, the T1 was just a huge pain, so many screws and cheap styrofoam inside, I had sucked up some rope from a pole at the marina... Luckily Chasing M2 and Fifish V6 Expert are a lot easier to work on.

2:42 Pike and Musky seem to respond real well to short jerks with Strike King 8.0, shows how important it is to do this, especially if you're 15-20 feet from the boat. I do a combination of stop and go retrieve when reeling, as well as short jerks with rod tip as if it's a jerkbait with the 8.0, quite deadly. Totally unconventional to do this with a squarebill crankbait, but then again, we ain't fishing for bass, we're fishing or pike and musky! Sweet video dude! You’re going to love Livescope. You’ll learn that Randy is wrong once you fish with it. You’ll be surprised how many fish you can’t make bite but it definitely helps answer questions.
@EternalAngler
@EternalAngler Месяц назад
Appreciate the feedback! Yeah, I mean it's interesting to see some anglers that really appreciate livescope, others saying it undermines the skill of fishing completely. Then I think, well if older anglers are no longer winning tournaments and the new anglers that are more tech savy are starting to win tournaments there's obviously a sort of paradigm shift happening, the end result is there's going to probably be some animosity there. Similar to how I heard pro tournament fishermen don't like the RU-vid things because the Googans were getting more recognition than them and sponsors, again paradigm shift. Kind of reminds me of when moneyball changed the game of baseball or even when steroids changed game baseball... There's always new things that come along and change a sport, some will like it others will hate it. RU-vid definitely changed sport of fishing too, just a love and hate relationship with anglers out there. I mean I get some of his points Randy made, how amateurs and college fishermen won't be at the same playing field as other college fishermen that have rich parents or money in general. But in a way, that's always been the case with fishermen being able to afford a faster motor, better bigger newer boat, more premium fishing reels and lures... I've finally be able to upgrade my rods and reels musky fishing, using the more premium baits, that's obviously made a difference with catching a 53" spotted musky and 47" tiger last year. In a way having more money and better technology always kind of gave you an edge and just made you a better angler, it just is what it is... I mean not always, some are so skilled at fishing they just always beat out others, but that may be changing, as we progress with technology, those that are skilled in technology may become the top fishermen, this may be the inevitable outcome with technology... I don't tournament fish so, I primarily fish for musky that are super hard to catch as is, fish of 10,000 casts, livescope and mega 360 will benefit my underwater drones too, so for me it's basically a win win, as far as I know... I mean if there comes a point where I don't like looking down at my livescope screen all day, I'll ditch it and sell it on ebay and just keep the mega 360, kind of why I bought both, but the dude at Michigan Marine gear said both compliment one another anyways, they work good together, one does one thing the other can't do, I've seen many youtube videos mentioning this. Technology in general is kind of got the world flipped upside down, whether it's politics or forward facing sonar, lol, as Doug Wagner just put out a video about it, saying it's more controversial than politics, hahahaha. Technology is changing a lot things, the gear heads fucking hate the new electric dodge charger coming out, dodge ending the hellcat lineup is making it even worse, yet if you look these lithium batteries are going to be a game changer for fishing and trolling motors, it's a big plus for us fishermen. Lot of people are flipping out on things, just luddite shit going on everywhere, I mean I get it to a point, there's times where I just gotta step away from social media, put my cell phone down for a few hours. However, some bitch more about livescope and youtube blowing up fishing spots so much, it's just fucking toxic! I've read numerous subscribers on Randy's channel saying to now "ban tournament" fishing. And that's how it ends up, get a bunch of people together, start agreeing on one thing, seeing from one side of things, they start wanting to ban everything, just a complete free for all of stupidity, no middle ground and two way thinking going on. I had to distance myself away from some of these anglers that constantly bitch about these topics. I mean for awhile there, every other video Randy was putting out was him bitching about Forward Facing Sonar 🤣, I definitely see similarities with the anglers that bitch about the youtube thing nonstop. Big paradigm shift happening... Might happen again soon, once GTA 6 comes out or some fishing game that's open world with virtual reality, if they can replicate how a musky followsup your bait and strikes it on figure 8, with nonstop jumping action, anglers will be in a nonstop endorphin heaven and not want to go back to the real thing. To me, if youngsters are actually using technology like gopros and livescope in the great outdoors and not sitting on their ass playing videos games like from movie Wall-E, I'm all for it.

"one of the things I love most about fishing is the SURPRISE and the UNKNOWN of that fish hitting your lure. I wouldn't want FFS forever." For bass I get that, especially for tournaments, but for musky... If FFS going to increase my odds tremendously of catching fish of 10,000 casts, especially targeting them on topwater, which can be loads of fun, I'm all in... However, I have yet to use it yet, so I may or may not like looking down at my screen all day. Either way, if I don't like Livescope, I can ditch it and sell it on ebay, then just keep mega 360, really why I bought both too anways. I mean the dude at Michigan Marine gear, along with a few other youtube videos have said both Mega 360 and Livescope can complement one another. I bought LVS62 that can see 500 feet out, "62 okay, so that's a 62 seiz further and built for saltwater I believe, right so you can see Fish and your bait at the longest cast possible correct." ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i0DSy-qQCzE.htmlsi=5T8jGAnr8fCYIPkI&t=397 Gotta remember too as I mentioned, both livescope and mega 360 will also be good for my underwater drones for treasure and tracking down fish too. Just win win situation so for me... However, if I run into a few snags or see things I don't like, without a doubt I'll be mentioning them on here! It's just like the Daiwa ProRex, loved the reel at first, ended up ditching it after the button kept engaging then the conquest mds came out... I hated my camcorder sony ax53 at first, started playing around with it a lot more, then realized I liked it... Sometimes you have to try things out yourself, see if they fit your needs. Since I majority musky fish and use my underwater drones, I think the livescope and mega 360 will probably fit my needs a lot more than standard bass fisherman! One things for sure, this technology is super addicting, it's getting even more addictive... Scary when GTA 6 gets released, even scarier when they perfect an open world fishing game like Call of the Wild: The Angler... If they perfect a musky video game that's open world, perfect it with virtual reality, perfect the followup musky strikes and figure 8, the musky jumps, mark my words it's all over... You'll be in an endorphin addiction heaven you'll be never be able to get off... People are already addicting to the constant scrolling on FB, instagram, and TikTok... Just be sure to do the RU-vid thing in moderation, family and friends come first, it's easy to go head over heals and becomes consumed by the youtube fishing things with sponsors, adsense earnings, merch... Gotta find time for outside priorities... We're definitely in unknown territory with this technology!

For sure man, appreciate you watching and feedback, I definitely enjoy hearing from others they enjoyed the vid, I got some family up in Goodells Michigan and other rural places in Michigan too that don't like crowds, but love the cars, they're always missing out! This was the first time I went to Autorama, I usually just go to the detroit auto show and various outside cruises and outside car shows like Woodward Dream Cruise, Harper Cruise and Van Dyke Cruise, Autorama was definitely an incredible experience, loved the different neon muscle car signs, plan on getting a few hellcat ones for the man cave!

Why not just buy a spinner bait
@EternalAngler
@EternalAngler Месяц назад
Again standard beetle spin wire is weak, after 20 or so catches, the wire becomes weak, I've lost big bass because of wire breaking so I upgraded to thicker wire. Also standard colorado blade on beetle spin is small and not much vibration, so I upgraded to bigger Hildebrandt willow blade. However I did buy a bunch of booyah sponnerbaits at bass pro recently equipped with big #6 willow blades. Spinnerbaits are good, but if you've ever used a beetle spin before you know how much bass it catches, its also unique in the fact that the jig head can be changed out for different sizes and depths which a standard spinnerbait can't do, also the split tail grub is unique and different than a standard skirt!! The wire also collapses when casting so blade is less like to catch wind, it also trickles down differently in water column before hits the bottom, it also moves in water differently than standard spinnerbait for that reason too. Overall the beetle spin has a lot of differences to a standard spinnebait, making it unique and having its own lane for spinnerbait fishing. If you haven't tried it yet, give it a try, but I do prefer the betts spin now to the traditional Johnson beetle spin, the split tail grub is bigger and thicker!

Hey I’ve never fished lake saint clair, are you at the metro park? Because I’d love some suggestions on where I could fish on docks or shorelines because I’m boat-less lol
@EternalAngler
@EternalAngler Месяц назад
Yeah Metro park 16 mile, can't go wrong fishing of the two piers targetting smallmouth with tubes, jerkbait, squarebill or chatterbait. If you're going for largemouth, along the canal sea wall or back in the black creek bay with spinnerbaits, chatterbaits or shallow jerkbaits ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CAZcE1OGQNM.htmlsi=lj5da8zW9mXeWdHP Getting yourself a kayak can go a long way too or plastic pontoon pelican bass raider with trolling motor, pretty affordable! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-X689QEVsXRc.htmlsi=3LH_gNCtiD0zyOFa

Hey E Where do you purchase your 110's From.....

He buys them from Cabela’s or Bass Pro Shops
@EternalAngler
@EternalAngler Месяц назад
Wait hold on Ar 🤣 Yeah I bought some 110+1s from Bass Pro Shops in Auburn Hills, but I had also bought some 110+1s and S Crank 2.0s online from tackletech.com, and also 110+2s from basspro.com website. The Bass Pros have quick shipping, a lot quicker than Tackle Tech. I think I a bought from Tackle Tech because I wanted a specific color in the S Crank and they had my favorite colors and S Crank colors in stock at Tackle Tech, so I went with them. I highly recommend buying from a quality fishing shop dealer, because I think you're rolling the dice on eBay, after getting bootleg power pro braided line off there, I'm careful what I buy off ebay now even though they can have some deals on megabass jerkbaits off ebay, they may be counterfeit, you never know... The sellers off Amazon are price gouging, some are priced at $25, but some are at $30 for whatever reason... It's too bad no brick mortar store locally carries the 110+2s, that's honestly the preferred size I like for casting off the boat in somewhat deeper water. The 110+1 is better for the shoreline, especially Metro Park of the piers, it's perfect!

They seem to be following the jerkbait up all the way to the boat, so make sure you don't pull out your lure too soon, work your jerkbait all the way to the boat!
