ok, so it's like this: the base recipe is awesome!! easy to make, full-proof and quite fast, even if you consider the over-night refrigeration. as I said, I'm infusing the butter, since both me and my son are very sensitive to textures. I tried the original orange, and also lemon, mint and coffee - all extremely tasty, easy to make and uniquely versatile. my son and the eldest of the daughters got into a race of finding flavoured chocolates to challenge me! my husband asked me to make up a spirits flavoured version - he prefers scotch, but he'll be ok with either rum or brandy (my favourites). my other daughter asked for a coffee flavoured batch to bring the dorms for her brithday next month. and I'm thinking of a spiced version - I'll start with mulling spices, but I'll definitely try all kinds until I'll manage a lavender flavoured one! and the idea to put in cut-up flavoured chocolate, instead of plain chips is the crown on an already very genial head 🤭 thanks for sharing! it's definitely got into the family repertoire 🙏
@@MoversandBakers and I forgot to mention that my mother-in-law liked it so much, she bragged about it to all my sisters-in-law I'm a bit catty, and i love it when she brags about my stuff to the others.
I like the idea of flavoured-chocolate chunks in cookies!! I don't like the idea of orange zest in anything - silly me feels the bits of peel as unpleasant on my tongue, even after they're baked in bater or dough. so I'll infuse the butter, while melting, with the orange peel (just use a potato peeler). I'll make them for this weekend, when my mother in law will come stay with us, and let you know what she says 🤭
this is THE BEST combo l ever tried! Everyone need to make these! l'm a hell of a baker :D but these turned out to be perfect from the first try, and absolutely delicious! l'm making more brb lol
I tired this receipe and enjoyed it making and while eating. I used plain chocolate and added more chocolate on the top. Orange taste was really nice from the zest. Thank you for the receipe.
Thanks for the great recipe! I’ll definitely try it. Just a quick question, do I have to wait until the butter is completely cool before mixing with sugar?
Hi Marija! I don't use orange juice or segments in my recipe, just the zest. You could certainly use dark chocolate instead with orange zest, though you may not get the creaminess of the chocolate orange, because it's milk chocolate. I often freeze my cookies so I have some dough ready whenever I want one! Just add a few extra minutes to your bake time. Hope that helps and thanks for watching! 😊
I haven't tried this recipe eggless, so not sure it would work. I do have an eggless cookies recipe you can check out here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QRt2BMxsXwM.html
